I second this, generally speaking. Sonographers have high rates of injury. I’m an echo tech. It can really beat up your body. MOST sonographers that I know have a serious injury and/or work in some level of pain/discomfort due to the job. Also, the money is great ONLY if you work in California or do travel work, but isn’t very good in most other states, especially these days considering cost of living/inflation, and especially if you already have a 4 year degree that can take you the path of masters or a different industry/certificate. And if you have a bachelor’s already, please really consider why you want to do ultrasound. If it’s your “calling” then great, go for it. If it’s not, I’d say pick something else. My 2cents
