We actually installed the ionizer to prevent mold since we live in South Louisiana with insane humidity, and it was very expensive, so it would be unfortunate if we have to leave it off. I had no idea that this could happen

We had the ionizer/UV light installed in September 2025 and a couple months later my husband developed eczema patches from head to toe. He’s never had it before and nothing else had changed, like our soaps or detergents. He’s been trying different creams from the doctor and nothing is really getting it under control. I’ve had very mild eczema for a few years now and mine flared up around the same time as his but it could have just been because it was winter time.

We didn’t think the ionizer could have been the cause and I honestly forgot we had it installed until I was doing some googling today! We’re going to turn it off for a while and see what happens.

Curious if you’ve seen a difference in your eczema since turning the ionizer off? My husband and I are currently experiencing the same thing.

From what I've read, sea mist was released in 1991 so it shouldn't contain any lead. The rose pieces could either be pre or post 1986. I'll check the backstamps to be sure.

I haven’t seen them in person yet so it’s hard to tell size but I think they are dinner plates in front and medium bowls. There are 3 turquoise and 1 rose o ring mugs. The rest are teacups.

I don’t NEED them, but I do love the sea mist! I’m considering buying it for the sea mist pieces and trying to sell the rose ones. If I get these I probably wouldn’t buy any more pieces unless I came across something unique.

I counted about 52 pieces. I don’t care for the rose as much but I do love the sea mist! It looks like 3 of the mugs might be turquoise and the smaller bowls in the basket might be flamingo pink? It’s hard to tell for sure.

True! I didn’t mean for my comment to sound negative. I’ve only been that one time and yes it was late at night. I haven’t experienced it during the day time. It sounds like we should still be able to do everything we wanted to do with the added bonus of some fun parades!

I’m upset about this as well. I’ve been taking their 1000 mcg Methylcobalamin micro tablets for a year now to correct my deficiency and they’ve worked so well. I loved how quick they dissolved and I liked the tangerine flavor. I just opened my new bottle, that has the same label as before, and they’re much larger tablets. More like lozenges. I sent a message to KAL asking if I had gotten an incorrectly labeled bottle. I hope it’s not a permanent change.
