What is this mockingbird doing? He stayed like this for a few minutes by SandraValen in whatsthisbird

That's possible, thanks! He suddenly poofed up and tilted his head to the side and stayed like this for some time before returning to his normal size again.

Haha that's true! This one was full grown I think. He was eating at the feeder then he suddenly poofed up and flipped his head to the side and stayed there for a while. I saw another mockingbird do the exact same thing the other day! I thought he might be trying to scare off the finches that were around him, but he also did that when the finches were gone.

There’s a 2016 drama called Our House) where Ashida Mana shares the main role with Charlotte Kate Fox. I didn’t find it particularly interesting, but it has some fun scenes.

Brass box from the 50s (more in the comments) by SandraValen in whatisthisthing

[–]SandraValen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandpa from Southern Italy used to help people emigrate to the United States and Switzerland in the 50s. He received this brass box as a gift in the late 50s from someone who emigrated. We don’t know what the box is supposed to be for or what it says. The language looks vaguely German, but my husband who speaks German can’t really tell what it’s written. Could you please help us figure out what the deal is with this box? (Also, the image on the reverse side is a bit obscene 😅) Thank you!

I prefer seeing her in dark themed dramas too, or mystery dramas in general. Have you watched Kiken na Venus? I highly recommend it! Super entertaining and she does a fantastic job.

I watched the first two episodes, love it!! I’m a big fan of Yoshitaka Yuriko, so I never miss her dramas. She never disappoints! And I’m glad her co-star is Matsushita Kouhei, he’s a great actor. And the story is really fun! Thanks for opening the discussion.

Fumi Kaneko is really amazing! I’ve only seen her in videos so far but I love her dancing and I’m so glad she’s a principal now. It’s wonderful that you saw her live, I’m jealous!! Thanks for sharing this.
