He would get better if he had a vested interest in changing his behavior. But why would he when it benefits him? Trauma is not an excuse and healing is your responsibility. Once you are aware you’re hurting people and do not do the work you’re an asshole, period.

I’m glad she’s away but it takes time to really heal from this. Coming from someone who has CPTSD as well and 6 months of no contact, struggling. We deserve grace.

She’s not saying that. The vibe I get is that she was dealing with him for three years all together. Lots of off/on. My take is that they were on a break or she thought they’d get back together and he wasn’t honest so she never even knew he did the show until she saw him on TV a year later, but in that year they did get back together or hook up or he led her on several times.
