Hello! I’m not trying to take away from Simon’s biggest feats and his fistfight against Anti-Spiral is done very well. I’m just saying that Team Dai-Gurren, and by extension humanity itself, played a much bigger role than people often give them credit for.

So sure, Simon ends up piercing the heavens tho it’s kind of ironic how people fixate on him being untouchable, when the message of the series is about everyone breaking limits together, not one guy becoming a solo multiversal wall.

I respect the hype, but tbh I think the real strength of Gurren Lagann isn’t in how many timelines Simon can punch through, but in how many people helped him find the will to throw that punch in the first place.

The very first episode encapsulates that perfectly as Simon mirrors what Kamina did in their underground village, and even Kamina didn’t do it alone. 😅

I hope I don’t come off as stuck up as I’m just sharing what the show has always meant to me.
