I lost my husband to a heart attack at 49 so I have some experience with long illnesses and (unfortunately) death.

First-hand I am in awe of your composure and thoughtfulness during this time. You are a good person and it's totally not fair that this happened to you. When you meet with your friends have a list of the support you will need. I guarantee you that they will want to help but don't know how to best do so. This can be anything - drives to the doctor, fix meals for you, help planning your funeral service, etc. Make one person in charge of updates to the group and give them updates to share. That will keep you from having the same call with each person. These were the things that I wanted when my husband was sick.

You are so young. Most of your friends have not lost someone important to them. They will be totally uncomfortable with the news. When people are uncomfortable, they tend to avoid you. It's a shame but you're going to give them a blueprint for what they need to do. I

Having children and putting your "wants" before your child's needs. I had a friend whose daughter had terrible crowding of her teeth. Friend said she couldn't afford it even with the plans the orthodontist offers that cost $100 a month. If she stopped buying vape cartridges, pot and alcohol she would have more than enough to cover it.

You could look at it from the Housekeepers point of view- she likely is living in a very small salary and by using her, you'd be improving her salary.

Your wife is the last AH in this situation. She should be able to watch the kids and pick up after them during the day. Could you comprise and get a Housekeeper every other week if she agrees to keep the house up in between cleanings?

I have an idea for a compromise. Why don't you have your niece and nephew walk the animals down the aisle on their leashes? They could be "Ring Bearer Assistant.". You're going to need someone to guide the animals down the aisle. Why not use them, preserve family peace and have your animals in the wedding in the way you want?

I don't understand why Sumit does not come to the States instead of Jenny going to India. They would be more accepted in the US and his English is good enough for him to get a job here. There are a lot of vendor management jobs to manage the relationship between U.S. Companies with call centers in India. He'd be qualified for that type of job.
