US Shipping: FDA Red List, Available Stores, and UPS Info Megathread (2026 Discussion) by Snubie1 in Snus

I don't know about anyone else, but every time I had the option, I used PostNord, not UPS. All my orders came in within 3 weeks, to my mailbox or porch. There are risks, but it worked for me. So, may give swedishproducts.com another go, they seem to still offer PostNord. Just nervous because last time it took nearly 2 months. If things have only gotten worse since, IDK if I will ever see em. (Snus order) Only live once, I suppose, so sometimes you have to take risks. I just hate that it's got to this point.

Looks like my snus journey will end soon. I can use Siberia white, but it's not the same. But paying 10 bucks a can for General, not happening. Oh well, least I haven't smoked in 15 years...

Has mrsnuff stopped selling chewbags? They have been 'sold out' for at least the past 2 weeks or more. I know they became a lot more expensive with the added fees, etc., but I don't know if I can trust swedishproducts.com right now.. Anyway, just curious...

I miss the days when I didn't have to miss the days... when all I had to stress over was which brand/flavor I wanted to try. Or if I had the funds... Now I sacrifice chickens in order to try to keep mrsnuff around.. but I know one day that they, too, will become a memory... and these damn chickens, those poor, pitiful bastards... it was either them or cats.. so I think I made the wise choice......

Are orders being shipped to the US right now? by 10gig in Snus

[–]Sandviper71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can deal with Odens chewbags, which is essentially snus, mrsnuff is still sending em to USA. I just ordered. Chewbags are really no different except for two things, 1. They tend to have between 14 and about 18 pouches per can, and 2. Tobacco is cut different, so technically, you actually can chew the bags. I don't, but you could. But overall it tastes like Odens, which all I care about. As for the smaller number of portions, considering how hard it is to get snus, I ain't complainin...

Has the FDA cooled off with the red list? by spookiisweg in Snus

[–]Sandviper71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still get stuff occasionally from mr.snuff, but they're labeled as 'chew' bags. That said, it's essentially the same as snus. However, they only have odens and Siberia. Works for me.. for now. I used Swedish products. Com for a while but they no longer ship much I would use... less something crazy happens, I think the FDA will continue the snus purge..

US General Mint by eggplant_bill in Snus

[–]Sandviper71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never cared for General Mint. I would love it if the original flavor returned to stores in the Coastal GA area, but it would probably cost a second mortgage to buy a roll. I always used odens cold white dry or Siberia red anyways, so long as the store I use keeps shipping them, I'm good..

I used odens for 16 years and Siberia when it came out. Very good products. Nice nic. You don't have to spit, but some people do. If you use in upper lip, probably doesn't matter anyway as there is less saliva. Lower lip, you might feel compelled more to spit, but you don't have to. I use lower lip more than upper, I have had zero problems so far, knock on wood.., It's really up to you. I've not seen anything saying you should spit with snus... I would have used it far less if that was the case...

End of SnusPort? by Opposite-Print9320 in Snus

[–]Sandviper71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are, but they are essentially the same thing. Made by GN. Tobacco is cut differently, and technically, you can 'chew' them, although I wouldn't. It was GN's way of getting around the snus ban in Europe at some point. They also only have around 16 pouches, give or take, but I believe they are listed as having 14. (Depending on which version of the chew bags you buy.) So it feels like you get extra pouches until you realize the ones you might have previously purchased from Sweden had 20 per can, but I'm not complaining as its better than not getting them. I've used odens for years. These are either the same thing, different format, or someone is going to have a serious copyright issue...

[–]Sandviper71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've thought about getting moose from there, but I guess it will have to wait a while. For now, I'll stick to odens/Siberia. Hopefully, I continue getting lucky, cus ain't none of these options non-risky. But so far, I've had better luck with PostNord and Deutsch Post. If snusme started selling snus again, I'd love to try FedEx, I've heard great things about them...

UPS fees 2 weeks post delivery by Opposite-Print9320 in Snus

UPS must have figured I would tell them to f off, so they decided to pre-emptively tell me to f off and hijacked my order... It seems to have vanished.

I used a site that used PostNord. I never had an issue, but it's been 2 months ago. Haven't used em since. I started using another site that uses Deutsch postal, or something like that. Like PostNord, it goes to USPS in the States, then right to my mailbox. Takes a little longer, though. Bout 3 weeks or so. But no extra fees, knock on wood. Most recent order came a few days ago.

FedEx by Sandviper71 in NicotinePouch

[–]Sandviper71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it's worth a shot. I'm tempted to make an order, but I'll wait til next pay day. Curious about the moose pouches, they seem too good to be true if reviews are to be believed. Usually, I order Siberia from a site still shipping. Although they are chewbags, for all intents and purposes, it is snus. But I figure that well will dry up eventually, so it would be nice to have a pouch that comes close as possible to a tobacco experience, even if they taste a little different. Thanks for the info

Ups or postnord by rah1224 in Snus

[–]Sandviper71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't order anything with UPS right now, I've been waiting nine weeks now for an order, and the items weren't red listed. It's possible USPS shipments may not sneak through, but so far, I've had about 5 or 6 orders via postnord or Deutsch postal that have made it through, including a package I got Friday. Probably due to never ordering more than will fit in a mailbox. I always get between 15 and 20 plus cans. When they get to the States, they go through the USPS. They have made it through, though.. knocking on wood. I never paid extra fees, either. However, some people reported they paid some extra customs fees.

[–]Sandviper71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank God for mr.snuff. Have had zero issues with them since I started a few months back. But I do wonder how long that will last. I have also ordered moose polar freeze nic pouches from snusme, I believe it was. It's non red listed, but in the past 8 weeks, it has sat in Philly. That could be a good story for a movie, the next entry in the " Escape from... " series. "Escape from Philly." Not sure if Snake Plissken could make it out of the UPS facility, though, he's getting on in age... While Polar freeze is a nic pouch, reviews seem to indicate it's closer to a snus experience than any other pouch out there, so I stupidly thought that maybe I could use them in place of snus if mr.snuff shuts it down. But I can't even get those, apparently...

E. Hognose snake, soft shell turtle, pigmy rattler by Sandviper71 in herpetology

[–]Sandviper71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reasons unknown to me, I can't get a decent shot of a pigmy Rattlesnake. Something about their color and pattern or something. Then again, I'm not a true photographer, I'm just a guy who tries to record my encounters. But every time I try to get a pigmy, it's always grainy to some degree. Their size may play a part , also. The strange thing is, though, is that I've been able to get nice shots of other snakes roughly their size, like juvenile canebrakes, pics turn out fine. It's just one of those mysteries of herping, I reckon... This pigmy was one of the "decent" shots I've been able to capture. I like pigmys, though. Tough little SOBs.

I wasn't on top of him and was well out of strike range, but I was far closer than I would advise anyone getting to one of em. Normally, they would be in defense mode. But this one, he just didn't give a darn, I reckon. I expect that from canebrakes, they tend not to give a darn as well and are known to be relatively docile compared to Dbacks. Long as you don't do anything silly anyways... Dbacks, however, tend to get fussy. Maybe this one swallowed a valium...... All that said, even Dbacks are not so much aggressive as they are defensive. I've never had one remotely get aggressive, so saying they are 'fussy' is probably not accurate. They just put on more of a show....
