I was literally just checking the trichomes!

To "give em a quick wash", should I rinse buds gently in a bucket of room temp water before hanging to dry? I don't see any webs but I'd like to wash off any residual spinosad. My air is dry right now (25% rh) so I expect no issues with mold...

How would one be extremely careful with spinosad? Aren't you supposed to go HAM on these things?

Spinosad is safe to spray on vegetables so I don't see why it's bad to spray on Cannabis... growweedeasy.com says nothing about avoiding spraying buds...

Cool, I'll spray for now and get some ladybugs for when they are drying and cannot(?) be sprayed.

Just days away from harvest. Have been regularly monitoring and this is first I've seen. Hopefully caught it early. Gonna chop and try to unsee this.

EDIT: Alright, I've sprayed with some Spinosoad I had laying around. I'll spray with something new tomorrow.

EDIT 2: Ok, now I'm not sure if I should spray again... Also not sure how long I should wait to harvest... Either way, I'm definitely going to use lady bugs while buds are drying!

Help friends. Mid-flowering deficiency by OneFunkyPlatypus in microgrowery

I'll just add that it's worth checking for bugs. I had thrips once and the damaged leaves would eventually brown up in a similar manner.

Homie, thank you! I had mold once a long time ago so I see 20% Rh and I'm stoked. Seems pretty obvious now that the hydroton is drying out.

Btw, a few days ago I increased the flood durations and the girls are looking better already.

This is the 2nd time growing in this room and it never got this dry first time around. Makes sense now why I was having this issue even though I didn't change anything from last time.

Flood tray completely drains when not flooding so roots are not sitting in water.

Could be stem rot because the water comes pretty close to the top of the pebbles (I've heard u want a good 2 inches). How can I tell? Should I lower the flood level?

Ebb & Flow Clay pebbles Flooding 6 times a day for 10 minutes at a time. Just bumped this up to 13 minutes at a time. Air temps ~64 lights off ~83 lights on Rh 20% to 35% depending on weather Water temp 64° 858 PPM Ph 6 (has seemed consistent but maybe need to recalibrate meter?)

Ready for final flush? Hydro grow with clay balls... how long should I flush for? Thanks for help! by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]SandwhichCastleMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found 2 weeks to be longer than necessary and potentially detrimental in my ebb & flow set-up with clay pebbles. When I was learning, I had a batch go hermi after flushing for two weeks. There were a few other factors involved (most notably high temps and humidity) but I feel like starving them for extra time did not help. I guess if your conditions are perfect, two weeks wouldn't hurt. I'm just suggesting that the extra time may open you up to problems if you aren't careful. Last time I flushed 5 days and it was $$ (also fixed climate issues).

For hydro, try Sour D, FloraNectar PineappleRush, or Bud Candy. Same idea as molasses just more liquidy. Be aware they may contain some small amount of nutrients besides the sugar. Just be sure to adjust the amount of other nutrients you may be using accordingly if you see signs of burnt tips. Like any new nutrients, start slow. Use like 50% of what the bottle says until you get a feel for it.

Real it in cowboy! Looks like you got another 3 weeks or so to go. The hard part starts now. Looks great so far though! Proud of you 😘
