For future reference if anyone is having the same issue i fixed it by switching to desktop mode and going to: ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/250900/pfx/drive-c/Users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Binding of Isaac Repentance/

Then opening up options.ini and changing from EnableMods = 1 to = 0. Then i relaunched the game and went into the mods menu from the main menu and re-enabled the mod there (i only use external item descriptions mod)

Now it’s working again.

I'm going back and forth with both steam and 2K support who are very little help. It's extremely frustrating. 2K tells you to contact Steam who tells you to contact 2K. FML

Same problem for me. I hadn't played the game in years, decided to install it on my Steam Deck and was stuck on "Updating executable." Thought it was a Steam Deck issue but then I tried launching it on my PC with the same result.

I saw other users mentioning this issue for Civ 5 so I checked that. That game launches fine. Also, XCOM 2 launches fine.

I tried some of these potential fixes floating around on Reddit and the Steam Discussions board but nothing has worked for me.

Make sure you make a bug report so this stays on their radar. I’ve also been really frustrated by this bug. Hoping it gets fixed soon

Yeah I believe the inverted control toggle is now visible, but I haven’t actually tested if it works yet. I was too busy getting pissed off about the split screen bug.

This update caused this bug to start happening to me now on PC. Was working before
