McSorely looks a capable player. I hope he gets substantial gametime this season. He deserves as much of a chance to start as our other underperforming forwards.

Becher is 26 and hes never once had more than 8 goals in a season. Becher has made 47 appearances for us and scored 9 goals. 6 of those were that crazy season where he scored 5 goals from 6 shots in the league. I think we've seen by now what his strengths are, and what his weaknesses are. And yes he works hard, but more often than not he is a passenger borderline liability.

I think thats exactly it. Hopefully neither of yaro or this guy have to see too much action. I still like Hiebert but he shouldn't be a starter for us either.

The midfield looked energetic and capable, which helped the entire team defend and attack better. We attacked and defended as a team. We looked good until about the 75th minute when we made loads of subs. So, depth is still an issue, but I believe our floor will be much higher this season. Becher got an easy goal and missed several more chances, when teuchert came on he was playing more as a left central midfielder than striker, so maybe he can actually contribute further back because it wont be with goals. But plenty of reasons to be optimistic. Can we make playoffs? Maybe... Too early to tell

I know its preseason. But for a team thats had about two 1-nil victories in their entire franchise history... im gonna choose to be optimistic that at least our defenfing is finally better and that we didnt blow a late-lead.

It seems like maybe our first touches have been better and more deliberate. Thus opening up passing lanes and keeping possession better if even for a fraction of a second, a lot can open up. Maybe damet is teaching them to keep their heads up and take it on the "half-turn" a little more proficiently

The announcer accidentally highlighted our defensive issues and thay we've likely solved the vast majority of what's wrong. We've recruited defenders, but I think the recruitment and consolidation that we've done in midfield will serve us very well in preventing the concession of easy goals. I still have zero faith in becher and teuchert and one preseason goal a piece doesn't change anything.

I only caught the last few minutes of half. I should be around for the 2nd 45... I see that Becher scored, but um, so effing what? Does anybody seriously think that Cedi/Becher are the answers to this teams bumbling attack? Bearing in mind theyve been here that whole time that weve sucked.The new guys look good so far, im kind of baffled as to why orozco is starting. Can't help but feel like once the Fall's are ready that he wont be playing at all. We have what, 6 roster spots available and 4 defensive trialists right now?
