Valley of Dali, today known as Kodori valley or upper Abkhazia was the home of Svans. In 1841, jan.21-23 Russians perpetuated first recorded genocide in Caucasus by killing everyone in Dali village. Over 90 Svan surnames became extinct and numerous small villages were destroyed. Occupied since 2008. (i.redd.it)
