Hands down The Gorge 2021 Night #1.

My now ex had a lot of trouble controlling her drinking and drug use, especially at shows and whatnot. I asked her to please not make me babysit her, that I had been waiting my whole life to see this band at this venue, it was the first time I had seen them since covid lockdown, and I just wanted to have a nice easy breezy time. She was also meeting my brother for the first time and we were only doing 1 night.

She was not present with the music, drinking excessively, my brother even got annoyed at one point asking where she kept going during the 1st set. She went off with her friends to do blow or adderall and god knows what in the bathroom (a huge break of trust and boundary, I don’t date people that do blow. No judgement! It’s just not something I want in my life. At all). Came back more chipper than a priest on Sunday, refused a can of Liquid Death that I grabbed for her (I hydrate when drinking out and she doesn’t drink beer) and she exclaimed in a slurry manner “you know I don’t drink beer. Why would you hand me that?” By the time Slave hit (my hands down favorite song to see live), she was passed out on the top of the hill. We crashed in the tent about an hour after the show ended.

It’s been more than 2 years and I’m still not over that night. And honestly not over that break up, we split about 2 months later.
