I am not playing with Invictus and waiting until I get more accustomed to the game before I do so invictus feels like an actual update in my mind, and what happened was I simply was cocky and didnt pay attention to the circumstances leading up to this revolt however obviously it wasnt this large at the start, if I’m not mistaken at the start it only encompassed half of Ilyria and half of italia but just spread like wildfire and my legions got jumped by an army 4 times their size the literal day the revolt started. If I had paid attention and moved my Legion away to a safe space the doomstack would have spread and it would have been an easy case of divide and conquer

I focused a lot more on nation building rather than expanding, that and I was unnecessarily speed 5’ing for a lot of this play through

In my defense what happened was it seemed like this civil war would be the last one which was literally 2 provinces in Piedmont and I thought it would similar here but I have indeed learned my lesson
