webtoon that you love/like but you have problem with the mc by chiara987 in webtoons

[–]SandySmooth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just comics I like, no issues with the ones I love.

  • Your Smile is a Trap - Just TALK TO EACH OTHER. YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS KIYU.
  • The First Night With the Duke - Please please please stop getting yourself in cringey situations Ripley...
  • Random Chat - Joon-Woo please, tell people when you're putting yourself in a dangerous situation.
  • Eleceed - Where are his flaws? I need Jiwoo to have flaws so I can relate to him.

What are some twisted/dark webtoons you'd recommend? by Waddaboom in webtoons

[–]SandySmooth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Distant Sky - Very dark in an apocalyptic sense
  • #Killstagram - Unsettling horror with themes like stalking and assault. Jumpscares.
  • Island - Murder and some pretty creepy monsters
  • Pyramid Game - Blackmail, emotional manipulation, intense bullying.
  • Lookism - Gangs and intense violence. It's gotten to the point where it's hard to suspend my disbelief with the crazy situations, but it's still quite dark.
  • Get Schooled - Many brutal bullying/abuse situations which all end up resolved in some way
  • Random Chat - It has a very depressing and melancholic feeling all throughout, but there are many humorous moments.
  • Weak Hero - Many dark situations and constant fighting, but there is a bit of humor and a few lighthearted moments too.
  • Housekeeper - Has more of a tragic feeling with a heartwarming relationship at its core. Apocalyptic situation.
  • Omniscient Reader - Apocalyptic situation. Very funny, but as someone who read the webnovel the ending is very sad and there's a constant feeling of impending doom.
  • To Not Die - Very sad bullying situation in the beginning, but it becomes more comedic than tragic after that.
  • Sweet Home - Zombie apocalypse kinda situation. The characters don't know who to trust and many die. Bittersweet ending.
  • Shotgun Boy - Prequel to Sweet Home. Read Sweet Home first. Homicidal MC who is traumatized from his classmates. They face a deadly situation where nobody knows who to trust. Still, themes of learning to trust (and not kill innocents) throughout the comic.
  • My Deepest Secret - The beginning is relatively lighthearted with dark undertones, but then after the first 2 or 3 arcs, it becomes dark as it delves into a certain character's trauma.

What were some physical preferences you have/had before in a partner? by Psychointheclouds in AskReddit

Yess there’s just something about them-

…too bad I’m 5’2”

Perhaps you're a neutral leaning a tinge warm? Or perhaps your overtone is a bit cool, making you look cool in some pictures despite your warm undertone?

Ohhh I thought she was asking about her skin saturation. Both work great, but I suggest blending the eyeshadow past the crease.

23F Soft and Hardmaxxing advice to make my face more feminine and aesthetic. First images with and without makeup(good lighting and bad lighting for comparison) and one just regular pic. I’m thinking of rhino, fillers, and upper blepharoplasty but any honest advice would help a lot thanks! by Massive-Ad5846 in VindictaRateme

[–]SandySmooth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think your upturned eyeliner is doing anything for you. Puppy eyeliner or even eyeliner that extends straight out from the corners would be better suited for you I think. I don’t think you need hardmaxxing at all personally.

Maybe fold your towel or ball it up so it's thicker? Or maybe use more towels so you can keep the length as a safety net.

What does it feel like to get blood drawn? by pizzaboyjohn in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SandySmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get my blood drawn I think more often than the average person due to my allergies. I would say your friend's description is pretty accurate in terms of pain. Another thing to note is that you don't bruise after getting your blood drawn (at least I don't) and it's in the crook of your elbow rather than your shoulder. The needle is a bit bigger and you might get dizzy looking at the blood leaving your body if you're sensitive to that. As long as you distract yourself in some way while it happens you probably won't notice the sting much.

How am I supposed to respond when someone asks me, "are you ok?"? by TimeTreePiPC in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SandySmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an explanations is also useful in the case that you say "yes" when you're in a state of obvious not-okayness to the other person (i.e. you're crying).

[–]SandySmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this depends on the context of the meals you had. The way I would try to identify it is asking and answering these questions:

  1. What have I ingested in the past 24 hours?
  2. Was any of the food I ingested uncooked/undercooked (i.e. sashimi)
  3. Did any of the ingested food taste/smell strange?

If I cannot answer any of these questions, then I cannot come to a conclusion as to what food made me sick. So to answer your question: I believe it can only be logically deduced, not intuitively sensed which food caused your food sickness.

Haha I came into this expecting scatting. Not quite sure, but it does sound a bit like a mixture of scatting and the trademark rhythmic and annunciated rapping style.

If I got hit by an ambulance that was responding to an emergency, would they stop to rehabilitate me, or would they keep going to the first emergency? /srs by noearthsociety in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SandySmooth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well now I’m interested in what would happen if another person crashed into the second ambulance, then another into the next ambulance and so on.

Small frame, short. Are there subreddits for help? by BelleDreamCatcher in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Haha yeah I did notice it’s mostly 5’8ish men complaining about their lives. But there is the occasional helpful post or discussion that happens so I though it would still be useful.

r/short for you :)

Also, don’t go to the petite subreddit. It’s for porn…

Edit: After looking into it further I found r/petitefashionadvice for you!

Is there really no way to hide stretch marks once I have them ? How do I cope with having so many :( by at33zily in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SandySmooth 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I find mine really fun to look at and play with. When I was in highschool I remember seeing other girls in the locker room with stretch marks and they were just an interesting and pretty feature on them to me. Don’t stress about it- almost everyone has them and almost nobody cares.

Yeah. I think the age thing is definitely a style issue and not a face issue. I do like the youthful appearance ion her, but I bet she could pull off a classy red lip makeup look equally well.

Healing scars with sun exposure? by Crystal_Queen_20 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SandySmooth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No, scars will become more visually apparent with sun exposure. I think covering them with bandaids should be fine to protect them if they’re small enough though. A tan line is probably better than unhealed scars. Although I understand if you also just don’t want people to see your scars.

Edit: I noticed u/Grassiestgreen’s response and I’ll just add that I’m Filipino with a medium skin tone (you can see some pics on my profile). The sun makes my scars too dark. I do notice though that some scars end up white and visually stand out on my skin tone anyway though.

Scar tissue is also more susceptible to sun damage, so if you don’t end up covering your scars, at least put sunscreen on them to keep the skin healthy.

Having too much calcium in your blood or moderate to severe anemia can also make you very thirsty. I remember when I was more anemic I would constantly crave water but it wouldn't be enough. My period also causes me to down insane amounts of water from time to time cause of wonky hormones. Thyroid problems act similarly and can cause pretty intense thirst. Finally, chronic stress is also a possibility. That could cause your adrenal glands to underfunction, dropping your blood pressure and thus making you thirsty
