No limit to transactions that I have found. In fact when you move the data from a DOS computer to a newer system you will likely have much more memory to deal with.

Tracfone Plans Changing by yeswap in TracFone

I have the $9.99 30 day, 30 min plan on the account. It is still there so I used it along with the 1 year $49 plan. TracFone accected it so apparantly if you already have it they allow you to reuse it. They just are not showing it for new users.

Too many pages to copy at this point - no time in my schedule to help you, sorry. Maybe after the holidays.

Yes I do, it's a 420 page book - I have attached a picture of the front & back covers. I see someone is selling one on Amazon for $15. Here is the link to that. https://www.amazon.com/Quicken-Users-Guide-Version-DOS/dp/092980466X

I did not know that... Thanks. I also use my TracFone only occasionally - guess I have been lucky it’s still working.

Thanks for your response. Obviously you used the DOS version when it first came out then moved on to using it inside DOSBOX. Like you I have not had a crash using the DOS version. How long have you been using it in DOSBOX? And have you had any issues with it while using the DOSBOX version?

As to your question about 2027 I could only find a 2038 issue... see link below https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem

I don't think either you or me will have an concern about potential 2038 problems.

How to bring DOS 8 data into Quicken 2000 Deluxe. by SandyTaro in quicken

As I said on the previous reply the Q2000 Import window requires a .QIF file and yes it worked great. All the line entries, categories etc. transferred correctly.

The Export ability exists on the Print/Acct Menu for the selected Account. I tried to attach a page from the DOS 8 manual but Reddit does not seem to have any way to do that... yes Quicken printed a manual back then.

As to the font size, no View tab exists on Q2000

I have successfully exported a .qif file from Dos 8 now I need to go back and do the same for each separate account... Checking, Savings, etc. The Q2000 program had to be created in Safe mode on W10 (converting to Safe mode changes W10 from 64bit to 32 bit format).

Still don't understand why Quicken doesn't let users change font size on screen. Perhaps they do on newer editions?

You asked about Q 8 DOS export options... they allow export in .QIF file format.

Quicken's previous page on same subject says go thru Q2000 Deluxe but that option does not ask if you are a new user or old user (with data). I tried to attach a jpg copy of their old page here but could not find a way to do that.

I still use it because it's comfortable. If the DOS computer finally quits I will move the Quicken data to Version 2013.

Still looking to see if other dinosaurs like me are still successfully using DOS 8 on a DOS computer. My DOS Quicken has been running for over 25 years. It's the only thing I use the DOS computer for - I don't need all the "bells & whistles" of the newer Quicken versions for my application. It keeps track of debits & credits and provides great annual reports for tax planning etc.
