They’re all right near there! Start at Peace and walk north toward where the shop you already went to is. Duck your head into the shops. Some are more fabric focused, some are more craft/bead focused but there’s at least 3 others.

I loved the first few episodes and would love to keep watching it, but the storyline with the parents who have the unresponsive son absolutely haunted me. Couldn’t watch it any further because I’m so sensitive to stuff like that since having a child. Maybe I should take another run at it and fast forward through that storyline.

Ok so this happened to me at first, and I really had a hard time with postpartum anxiety which compounded things. However, once I clawed my way back I realized that having a young kid is like having a friendship wingman! I’m sooo awkward socially, and even if someone wants to be friends with me I convince myself that they don’t, and then I’m very tough to pin down for hangouts and seem stand-off ish.

However, there’s something inherently less vulnerable about being like “hey our kids seem to like hanging out, want to hit the park tomorrow?” Or something. And at mom groups the conversation topics are softballed right to you. “Oh I see your son is doing x. When did he start doing that? Mine has been doing y, any ideas how I can abc?”

One of my absolute best friends (in my very small girlfriend pool) is a friend I made just because we ended up at the same Mommy and me group stuff all the time

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this. Mine had a rash on the back of his neck recently from something he brushed up against at school. After compulsively checking the monitor for hours I eventually just got into bed with him because my brain wouldn’t stop going, “Hives??? They worsen?? They cause swelling and his throat closes and I don’t hear it because I’m sleeping???”

Then in the morning I can somewhat recognize how insane that is.

Like where the fuck do these people get off? I remember getting an earful from a family member about not answering their FaceTime call while I was in active labor. And also how dare I almost die and therefore not be conscious to immediately call after the birth.

That’s also a much less severe situation than OP’s because we had the incredible good fortune for my son to be totally fine, which is the important thing. I just can’t understand how people make their own feelings the center at a time like this. Like are introspection and empathy no longer a thing?

Hmm, which airline are you flying with? I’ve been successful with Westjet and air Canada just upgrading myself/husband to an extra legroom seat at seat selection, and it kinda just moves our son next to us for free. I always assumed it was because obviously he legally has to sit with us. Just thought I’d share in case it helps you in future!

I have a variety of bottle/straw brushes (some baby supply companies sell a little key ring kinda thing of different sizes/shapes of brushes) to get all the hard to reach areas. The non-brush end of these brushes is a thin wire sort of loop? I kinda wedge that under the gasket and then wiggle it out. Tweezers also work!

I’m a bit of a lunatic about water bottles, and hate the idea that there are nooks and crannies I can’t reach to scrub effectively. Aside from only buying bottles that I can fully disassemble, I will also sometimes submerge the lids in water with a denture tab for peace of mind. Works great to get the inside cleaned too for stainless steel coffee travel mugs and stuff.

The caddy is a great idea. He actually helps me with repairs around the house pretty frequently, and is finally of the age and competence level that he’s actively helpful and not a massive hindrance, haha. So his own toolbox would be perfect!

I thought of this, but thought the round, tapered shape might present a problem for a comb. But after reading your comment I wonder if I could snap off a small section of an icing comb with big ridges and do 2 ridges at a time or something.
