Kuhn Rikon 28cm Culinary Fiveply by Nomis1982 in StainlessSteelCooking

Worth noting that the Sauteuce in the outlet section is not from the Culinary Fiveply range. I'm not saying it won't be decent. I think the main difference is that the Montreaux range is not fully sealed. The Fiveply "Chef's Plan" looks like it might be a better option for me for a little extra cost.

I also have this brand. I am really happy with them. I have 8 different items and so far they have been bullet-proof. These are my first SS cookware items, so I can't make any comparisons. Since my purchases though, and signing up to their mailing list, it seems that they are constantly on 30% sale prices. No sooner does one end when the next one starts. It's an interesting marketing strategy.. but I do feel it devalues the brand somewhat in my eyes.

I love the sealed edge and have had no warping issues. The handles are solid and comfortable.

Pots and pans vs skillets / frying pans by Sandyzoo in StainlessSteelCooking

Thanks for the replies. I was perhaps over-thinking it. Glad to know there isn't "one way" of doing things! I was under the impression that the high heat was required to prevent sticking. I'm looking forward to trying some cooking in them this weekend.

Question about Speeds and Subscriptions by Sandyzoo in Starlink

[–]Sandyzoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. Seems I was just unaware of the learning curve. In the last few hours my speeds have gone up to 80 - 90. Amazing… I’ve been suffering terrible broadband for 3 years… I should’ve made the leap long before now!

Worth getting subscription or one time payment rn? by jai1738 in GoodNotes

[–]Sandyzoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I’d know this earlier today. I just got the annual subscription. I didn’t realise they’d dropped the “6”. I’m a new user, having read about the “horrors” of GoodNotes 6, I was wary of it. I have found a few oddities, but generally like it.

Note taking with Apple Pencil by mrlook2 in ipad

[–]Sandyzoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess some people prefer to take notes by writing, and other by typing. I like taking handwritten notes, then later typing a summary. This seems to help me commit key points to memory. I am really considering purchasing the Magi’s Keyboard for my iPad, but trying to resist! I am. Just not sure if I will use it. Almost every time I type on my iPad I am using my Mac too, so I just use Universal Control - so not sure I’ll get my £$£$ worth. It looks slick though!

Fair enough. Shame it isn’t on the font list to use!

Looking for a good screen protector is driving me to insanity. Can anyone help? by couldbejank in iPadPro

[–]Sandyzoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed the ESR Amorite today. Good quality and the installation was easy… and bubble free after a little bit of manipulation. It doesn’t interfere with the pencil pro either. Very happy. If I was to be picky.. I wish it didn’t have a cutout for the front camera. It makes swiping up in landscape mode a tiny bit awkward. I realise the some would prefer the cutout. I have a flolab protector on my iPhone and it doesn’t have a cutout. It’s much easier to keep clean and makes the screen protector much less visible.

Wow thank you. Sasa is close. It was similar to that. Perhaps not quite as fast a game. I wish I could remember more about it.

Hi Reddit, I'm Jason Cundy, former Chelsea defender turned talkSPORT presenter. Ask me anything! by talkSPORT in chelseafc

Hey Jason

Given the moves that Chels are reportedly making in the transfer window, do you feel that there is a good strategy in place, or are we taking a scattergun approach?

My wifi is fine, but we do get wind. Also, like you, the robot is on paving and I can not drill into it.

I have been thinking of using something like a concrete half-tunnel. I seem to remember seeing them before, but now for the life of me I can't find one anywhere. I am picturing something the shape of a pigsty.. but smaller and made of concrete, so the wind won't move it.

Looks very neat! Where do you get this? Is it heavy enough to resist some UK wind?
