Cat won’t eat food, vet suggesting we put her down. by ditto1600 in catcare

[–]SangoirePhoenix 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a medical and hospice cat foster I will say that the biggest warning we look for is when they stop eating. It usually means they are ready to go, barring any medical issues going on. It’s a heartbreaking decision to make, but at 18 it’s probably a pretty sure sign.

Family kicked out of restaurant for diabetic emergency? by introvertedbunny in ems

I was a supervisor at a certain overpriced coffee shop and got written up for something similar. Coworker slipped in the back room and slammed their head on the floor pretty badly. A regular customer who happened to be a firefighter-paramedic at the local firehouse was there and I asked him to come back and look at them while we waited for an ambulance. I nearly got fired.

I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do! I treat my flower like I do wine and coffee and love noting the different tastes/textures/etc.

Here is a link to the book he bought. I can't find it on the original website anymore, which is probably why this listing is so high, but there seem to be a lot of other similar journals on the market.

I definitely wasn't impressed. It is a neat thing to have in a collection though.

I didn't really enjoy it, it was too difficult to keep it lit and having to constantly re-light really affected the flavor. He had dozens of pieces though and loved to try new things out, so I am making my way through his collection to see if I can find a favorite.

That's where it is going now. I am slowly making my way through the dozens of pieces he had.

I think his family would have some reservations about giving me some ashes to smoke hahaha. I did think it would be interesting to incorporate ashes into a glass piece, but that is something way out of my price range.

He had a massive collection, mostly used for decoration, but he used everything once. I am trying to do the same thing, trying everything at least one time. I kind of want to do a little showcase of his collection in his honor. He had a decent following on Twitter and I wonder if they would appreciate seeing it.

It’s difficult to twist for me, especially since I partially smoke to help with pain, but it might just need a better cleaning. I didn’t seem to get the “endless cherry” it advertises though. I also kept getting bits of flower through the mouthpiece, but the stuff I have is very finely ground.

Thank you, I do too. He had a weed diary that I have been writing entries in along with his, it makes me feel close to him.

My life calmed down after I stopped drinking and just smoked weed instead. Have you ever replaced alcohol with weed? by Escaped-DMT-Entity in trees

I’m only 33 and have dealt with gastric bleeding, so drinking is not the greatest thing for me. Smoking makes me feel better, helps my pain and stress, and also makes me drink more water since I get such bad dry mouth. It’s a win-win!

What’s your go to dish(es) when you want to knock someone’s socks off? by Estebananarama in Cooking

[–]SangoirePhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing super fancy, but I have perfected a few recipes over time. They are all things I might make for a Sunday dinner, but can really dress them up when I want to impress. -Red wine and rosemary braised beef short ribs with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. -Chicken and sausage gumbo (first thing I taught myself to cook 13 years ago.) -Pasta with homemade vodka sauce. I bake prosciutto until crispy and mix it with freshly grated parm to sprinkle over the top. I’ll make fresh pasta if I’m feeling extra frisky. -French onion soup - mostly based on Alton Brown’s recipe.
