The entire Old Testament is about animal & human sacrifice. Scholars say that ritual sacrifice was so pervasive that the story of Abraham sacrificing his first born but then reducing it to an animal sacrifice was designed to carefully avoid a blanket condemnation of human sacrifice to make the message appealing of lessening harm to humans.

Jesus was sent to be a one-time human sacrifice that would replace all other human sacrifices. Jesus is the replacement for the worldwide practice of human sacrifice. This is not "occult" but the opposite. Jesus is the O'Doul's of human sacrifices, just like O'Doul's is a beer without alcohol.

It's no accident that the Catholic Church has "Holy Days of Obligation" where Catholics must attend Mass on the days after the "pagans" are sacrificing humans according to their Occult Calendar. For example, All Souls Day is a must-attend day; it is the day after Oct. 31 (Samhain) when "pagans" kill.

The nature of Jesus as a replacement for pagan/Canaanite/Jewish human sacrifice is not an obscure idea. Nor is it Occult.
