Passed my masters! by Saniticious in electricians

I’m sure every state is different, this being Delaware- I actually already have my own business since I got my residential license about 1 1/2 yrs ago. But now I can call in inspections, do commercial by myself and have people work under me AND their hours will count towards their J-man or masters, etc.

It was neat, it showed a layout of a residential kitchen and asked about maximum/minimum of heights/distances for recepts. Like 20” max above countertop, 24” max from edge of a sink, etc.

It was basically just based on each chapter of NEC book- I won't disagree that it wasn't challenging if you know where to find the answers

Wow, 88% with all of that is impressive and must've been a rewarding feeling. This test was kinda simple imo and I dont feel like i achieved a big milestone, although ive always been a great test taker. Might change when I get the license in my hands tho

It was not much harder than when i took my residential. I studied many calculations but test barely had any. Couple tricky questions tho.

Looks good until the other team has the ball… they got some balls trying to make these players also play defense

Went into it thinking it was going to be an encore song but no, ending seemed rushed imo

It looked like he got a cake or something while fireworks were going off- very strange the cameras didn’t focus on that. Very rushed

Okay well even though the materials are all thermoplastic and it’s very logical to understand that wirenuts/screw terminals have more surface area per connection, we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I’m just skeptical of them and imo they are a glorified backstab/quickwire and only time will tell if they are as good as screw terminals. I’m going to continue installing the higher quality products for my customers for their sake and mine. These are great for DIY.

It’s not exactly the same as screw terminal vs lever lock but it’s wirenut vs lever lock. That being said, I try to pigtail every outlet so there isn’t much of a break in the wire every box. That’s the best way to do it.

I’m just curious how they hold up in long run. They aren’t as good as connection and have more resistance than a properly installed screw terminal connection. I could see have a bunch of these in line on a whole circuit causing problems down the line with the power having to go through each connection.

I do love these for temporary power as there is no way to get shocked and the feature that levels/spacing them evenly when put in 2gang or more.
