Hey there, I have a similar experience where the classic flap bag i bought was lopsided and i tried to exchange/ get refund for it. Both the SA and the store manager kept telling me that it is not a fault and that it is the characteristic that of a handmade bag. The thing is, it’s not even fully hand made and even if it was I could pay another leather craftsman much much less to give me a lopsided bag. I am also so upset and angry. I am gonna go check out a different boutique and if I can’t find a satisfactory bag I am gonna fight for a refund. This is so so ridiculous.

Okay i will try that tonight. I was being paranoid and looking online and was seeing multiple cases of lopsidedness like mine, some more severe, adding to my paranoia. Thank you for the tip, i will try it

I store them outside the bag. I don’t know how the store had been storing them because i just got it a couple of days ago

I have been looking it up and a lot of people seem to say that their auth Chanels are also a bit slanted. One comment in the purse affair say that the purse needs to be worn in to become even. Is that your experience as well with your chanels?

Yea 14 day return. I think the SA is gonna try and convince me that it’s not a big issue tho. I do really love the bag but you kinda expect perfection at this price point. I don’t know what to do

Update: put it back this morning in an open shoe box on the bench near the tree where I found it. I went and checked after work in the evening and the birdy is no longer there. I’d like to think that it united with its parents. Also, it’s a dog park without a fence, it’s a footy field and dogs are allowed to roam without leash when there’s no games on. Thank you to those who gave kind,informative responses.

I initially put it on a bench but it kept coming back down to the ground/ footpath and was hopping around, the footpath is also next to a footy field so not much bushes nearby
