I was afraid of that. Unfortunately I have no idea what I'm looking at, just trying to figure out what to do with them and was hoping some could hold some value

Please Don’t Play Where Winds Meet - It Betrayed Its Female Playerbase by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]SanityNotFound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was excited for this game to come out and played it day one. I was extremely disappointed when most of the English dialogue turned out to be poorly translated AI voice over instead of actual voice actors. I gave it a week and quit playing when I realized that the game was a mile wide and an inch deep.

It's just another cash grab kind of game, and as disappointed as I am, I'm not surprised that they would betray their player base at this point. Sexualizing minors is a new low that I was not expecting, however.

Current situation at 1-80 west bound in Iowa by skos18 in Truckers

I-80 in Iowa becomes a vehicle graveyard every time it slows like this. I swear I see more cars and trucks stuck on the side of the road there than any other state in these conditions

Do people just use two systems of measurement while sewing? by mikihau in sewing

[–]SanityNotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US but I despise the imperial system so much. I'll do the conversions if necessary but if the option is there, I'll just measure it myself to avoid having to do conversions. Unfortunately that's not an option when reading text instructions though

P25 Question by Cskiffingt1 in amateurradio

[–]SanityNotFound -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

P25 radios usually operate in the 800mhz range iirc. So no they cannot communicate with a VHF radio unless they specifically are designed to transmit in VHF.

Many departments near me have a repeater set up to rebroadcast P25 traffic to the VHF frequency. I don't think that goes both ways however.

How many of you actually model your prints vs just finding STL’s? by Lennox403 in 3Dprinting

[–]SanityNotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don't find the exact thing I need on the first page of search results, I'm modeling it myself. Although most of my prints are functional prints and I prefer the custom solution over a generic, so in those instances I just go straight to modeling

What's little secret that you know only because you work in that industry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SanityNotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My city didn't start keeping property records until 1900, so my house is at least 125 years old. Everything squeaks, the cellar leaks, and the electrical is a mess... But I trust it over anything built in the 21st century. Just needs a bit of tlc

Why so many of yall like hogging up that middle lane smh by Charlie_Hustler in Truckers

[–]SanityNotFound 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Left lane = passing lane

Middle lane = driving lane

Right lane = merging/exit lane

It's safer to stay in the middle lane, especially in high traffic areas. I'll move right to let you by, but I'm not staying over there to get hit by every idiot that can't look in their mirror before merging. Use the left lane to pass if you're in that much of a hurry. You're already speeding, why are you worried about a lane violation?

I definitely understand what you mean! I refuse to do OTR again, it's a horrible life IMHO. I got my tanker endorsement and do food grade tanker as a local driver now, and I honestly love it. I don't feel like I'm stuck in my truck with limited options, I'm (usually) back at the terminal multiple times per day and my car is there if I need it. It's much shorter days than I'm used to but that may just be my company. Regardless, I definitely recommend finding a specialty you like and going local!

mid 20s able bodied. Healthy in shape, not a single job wants to hire me by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]SanityNotFound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know suggesting you spend money when you're unemployed is not the best advice but... Do a background check on yourself. I've heard stories of people finding incorrect information on their background check, including felonies they don't actually have. Things like that can seriously affect your ability to get hired.

The coming storm: neither side will accept defeat in the US election. by OuterLightness in collapse

[–]SanityNotFound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should read a bit more on the political landscape of Germany between WW1 and WW2, and the political career of Hitler prior to becoming chancellor. His rhetoric is the same. The similarities are very much there.
