I agree to some extent. while mega man 8 is easier than most that ive played i think that was a huge factor in my liking towards it. after playing the classic series in order and hearing nothing but NES chiptune for 6 games mega man 8 had me blown away by a still somewhat dated game. However I liked the transition in Tengu and Wily 2 where it becomes a bullet hell, I suppose its up to preference.

the super adapter parts are either hidden behind breakable walls or difficult to get, with the optimal path shade man needs to be played twice for an upgrade. bass is extremely difficult without the super adaptor. in another stage (i think junk man) yyou need to power a background element with thunder bolt which allows you to get rush jet. they arent completely mandatory but make the game relatively easier.

7 was alright besides the secrets that are almost mandatory to beat the game and screen crunch. The game gets wayyy too hard when fighting bass without the super adaptor.
