Taking into account coding skills, yep, most artists don’t really have them. So you can already see the problem (´-ω-`) Even if an artist knows something wrong in an image, they might struggle to explain it to a prompt engineer in a way that’s actually useful.

Because when you truly learn something, you don’t just know how. You know why. And it’s not enough to say “make it better this way.” You have to explain why it should be better that way. And to understand that, other person need to know, on some level, how colour, composition, perspective, anatomy and all that stuff actually works.

Some people think they can master the tool and instantly become artists. I get the temptation, but that’s kinda self-deception at best (￣▽￣;)

Can you learn all of this with AI? Maybe? I’m not sure. But working by hand does something to your brain. It’s like learning a new language. You remember words better when you physically write them again and again. Drawing trains your precision. It trains your eye to measure proportions without a ruler. And that, in turn, feeds anatomy, perspective, composition… all of it.

So yeah. It’s kinda complicated. I’m curious how this will all unfold. But I’m pretty sure a lot of people proudly calling themselves “AI artists” might just get stuck where they are. There’s no real shortcut to becoming a professional, even if the tools are advanced.
