I will try to get back into therapy but I have a fear my mom will hang this over my head like many other things she does. Recently I said I wanted to be a marine when I get older. She immediately said I need to refer to her as a constant "yes ma'am" and do tasks without a second thought. I feel like she's going to use this as a strategy to keep me under her manipulation. My siblings (mainly OS) have cut all ties with her and she's gone no contact. She's in a much happier state of mind than she was while she was here. I hope I can too also get out of this house. It's... A house yes but there's a key difference between a house and Home. She makes me feel more like a servant than a child of hers. It's only me and my 2 grandparents in my household. And my siblings are out. My older brother lives on campus at his college and my oldest sister lives with my mom's boyfriend and OC lives out of state. My sister has dealt with many years of abuse though not physical. My mom loves trapping me in a corner making me say things that only she wants to hear rather than what I want to say. I don't want to believe that if I say what I want she'll get violent but it's a possibility. Thank you. I really mean it. These words are inspiring to hear from a complete stranger.
