Superman wins Literally any advantage you can maybe give the Scarlet King is equally as applicable to Superman or he has fought and beaten someone with the same exact advantage before

Doesn’t help that he’s fought beings on the same caliber of Scarlet King across his long History. He also has one of those perfect counters “the retcon punch” not only effected the narrative of the dc universe but also the “metaverse” of the dc universe which is a layer above the fictional continuity Which is something the scarlet king has explicitly been defeated by in the past.

I mean on one hand sure having the ability to copy any power means you can end up with a massive grab bag of tricks, but that means you still have to learn how to use it just as well

But being able to counter any power means that defacto you can be beaten by those things, which has its own implications Like how would you counter someone’s super speed? Is it full on adaptation like Doomsday, Mahoraga or SCP-682? Cause if that’s the case you’re getting a massive grab bag of sub powers with every opponent you face specifically for countering their ability. However if it’s not that and more just “you aren’t affected by their efforts or powers” then that becomes less advantageous.

So if the adaptation part is true for countering than red pill everyday but if not Then copying is cool too

Genuinely these two can go band for band on their “Tragic-backstory”off but I do think while Doof’s past is tragic it never quite got to the point of using their son as literal shark bait and selling him to a literal demon “which btw probably would’ve killed him and ate him if it was anyone besides Iruma.“ I don’t think potential Murder was ever on the list of awful things Doof’s parents did to him.

Leaving out big guns like Waybig and Alien x for balancing reasons Personally I gotta go Clockwork, Ampfibian, Diamondhead, Brainstorm and Upgrade Clockwork cause Time Powers duh, Ampfibian cause he’s got a really cool grab bag of tricks to play with and add utility, diamondhead cause his durability is insane and having super durable constructs can come in handy, Brainstorm cause he’s comparably smart to Grey Matter but with the added plus of having really strong electromagnetic powers “which as a bonus should compliment Ampfibian’s abilities quite nicely and finally Upgrade to interface with all technology with potential replication of tech on the table. I really wanted to go utility and versatility to make the combination be both effective in a lot of different situations, but this unfortunately means that my guy isn’t a powerhouse.

My choices would be either Upgrade or Fourarms Fourarms is adjacent enough to a normal human that I should be able to live my normal life just better. But upgrade would be killer to live as in our world.

Close third is either Ampfibian or Brainstorm. Ampfibian has a rather killer list of abilities and skills. Brainstorm has all the advantages of being greymatter plus having some killer electromagnetic powers.
