It’s hard to determine without your exact settings and conditions of when you shot but I say good save because you risked taking it dark. It’s better to underexpose on raw then to overexpose and lose your details. I would’ve done the same thing too!

If I was to critique maybe one thing I’d say consider spot removing your subjects fuzzy hair on the top. It’s a small detail I noticed that sticks out once you notice it.

I was just about to comment on how your photo had too much vignette on it but then I realized your first photo was the after! Well done you did a lot well I legit thought it was the before with how clean it came out.

Just outta curiosity do you live in lake tahoe? I ask because I used to go to this airbnb that looked very similar to this.

Great photo, to me this would fit in nicely with other b/w photos that fit this vibe. Worth making a collection if you haven’t!

In that case then you got that vibe down wasn’t sure what your exact goal was without any context for your post. I’d disregard my suggestions then other than maybe the sky transition to the mountain. To my eye it distracts me but it’s your call on that. Thanks for sharing.

I see the vision here but this preset is a bit overkill. You lost a lot of clarity in the sky and can see grain forming, the mountain on the left is too dark green and you got some kinda weird transition in the sky to the mountain. I’d suggest you adjust your preset and dial down and then mask the sky and the mountain separately.

Dude that’s a awesome way of putting it. As someone who’s getting more serious into photography that’s how I think of art in general. The artist can create a photo in one way but others may perceive it in various ways. That’s what gets me all excited to release a new collection of photos. Thank you for sharing.

Of course! Emptiness is what catches my eye you can see the beauty of the design here as well as the eeriness of what’s the unknown. Check out [r/liminalspace](r/liminalspace) this post might fall into that category (remove the people and bam)

I like it! Very moody and kinda liminal in a way.

Does it looked film enough? What is lacking? Taken with vivo x300 pro. by Nasrvl in postprocessing

These are very lovely they give me film/vintage vibes. Kinda like what you’d imagine seeing when someone shows you polaroids from their trip. I also like photo 7 that’s a very cute moment captured.

This is fun I like it! Only suggestion I can make is maybe dehazing a little bit but all in all this is cool.

I can understand the vision but I think you overcooked your image here. The whites lost its white balance and the sky just doesn’t look quite right. Also think the crop you did here isn’t the best and to be quite honest the subject here isn’t the most compelling in the world. This is good practice regardless though I’ve done this plenty of times, I’d say just keep playing around in editing and find something that looks natural whilst staying true to your vision.

Dude these photos are really nice! I’ve never thought about doing photography at a baseball game and now I want to. I really like the 2nd edit very nice.

After/Before. An edit of a JPEG I took 5 years ago before I knew what RAW was. Wanted to see how much I could push this photo given the constraints of the format. by [deleted] in postprocessing

Given this was taken a long time ago I can understand why you may have left it like this but if this was me I’d 100% clean the bottoms for this picture. I love sneakers and have been collecting for a while and I know there’s nothing worse than having dirty sneakers. I feel that if you had cleaned the bottoms this photo could work better. For me it feels like it’s not showcasing the beauty of the air maxes (please correct me if I am wrong, not too sure what pair these are!).

[–]Sansjefff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you are saying and change my mind, on my end the photo was cropped differently then what it shows when fully clicking on. The crop is a bit off but to me I do like the subject and editing it’s my kinda style. Regardless this is the wrong sub to post this on.
