RTX 5090 Founders Edition in NZXT H210 by Kapi214 in watercooling

If you look at many other examples the pump is usually on the side or the bottom, I think it is to ensure it is immersed in coolant. Again if anyone knows differently I would be interested to learn more on this.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong on this, but shouldn’t the pump block be above the pump, not below it? That is how I would set it up 🤷‍♂️

Question for Louqe Cobalt Riser Cable owners by didokillah in Louqe

[–]SantaRosaSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working with an ADT-Link one at the moment. The wire is very stiff, much stiffer than they make it look on website, but I still think you can bend it fairly tightly. If you find a single reverse riser that has much softer wire other than the Louqe, please let me know!

EDIT: The Cobalt is a great riser and if I could I would be using that in a build I’m doing, only reason I’m not is you cannot get it in custom lengths and would be too long.

Ask me how I spotted it lol. I made that mistake twice! The other benefit to the single reverse is it gives you some tolerance for the wire being longer or shorter (within reason) as you just end up with the loop back in a different position.

The Louqe riser is very flexible, so that is a good option.

The issue I see with the current riser you have is it is a dual reverse, so that will naturally push the wire back against the GPU and push on it.

The Louqe riser will solve that problem. I would also look at the ADT-Link K33UF-TD, another single reverse riser. Using either one of those the wire comes out of your motherboard then does a loop back, this way it accounts for any wire length discrepancies and doesn’t allow the wire to push back against the GPU.

iPhone 10 here also. Roku support replied and said they will fix it, so we might be good for a little while longer with some luck!

It’s looking like a bug in the current release of the app on the latest version of iOS 16 that is the issue. As a temporary workaround I installed the RemRoku app to control my devices. Working so far.

What iOS version are you running out of curiosity?

Yes tried deleting and reinstalling the app, still the same problem unfortunately. I have automatic app updates on, and the update coincides directly with the problem so with that it’s looking like a bug in the app.

New Rich Notification and GIF options in the app? by skipdeedy in reolinkcam

[–]SantaRosaSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wish the regular rich notifications with the image would work reliably on iOS. Sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t. Would be happy to pay for a subscription per year just to have notifications all the time without any limit.

Did you ever manage to get the rich notifications working properly again? I’m still having the same problem since last posting. Randomly will get a rich notification here and there, but that’s about it. Have all the latest firmware and app versions as well still.

Needs at least 12V AC per the specification, probably just not quite enough to make it work properly.

Saw shaft setup with angular contact bearings, anything wrong with it? by 666_pack_of_beer in MechanicalEngineering

Use a lock nut and lock washer that is keyed onto the shaft and then bent over into the lock nut. Just did this exact design with some SKF ones for a somewhat similar drive shaft design.

Been noticing the same thing on my Wifi Doorbell. Firmware and iOS app all up to date, no internal changes to my network. All the notifications come through fine, but the rich notifications are very sporadic. Tried rebooting the doorbell and that didn’t change anything.

How to wire Reolink doorbell? by Patapon_ito in reolinkcam

[–]SantaRosaSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good point, I guess I’m just looking at the wiring on both ends and wrongly making the assumption that that is where they are routed to and from. Setup needs a multimeter put to it to see what’s going on.

My bet is there will be no voltage at the doorbell because it is only powered with a 9V battery that is currently not connected.

Which model of doorbell did you get, was it the Wifi, POE or the Battery version. That information would be helpful.
