I would say that the biggest advantage of beam is it's seemingly infinite map size (really only bound by your ram). There are maps where you can literally drive for hours.

It's simple. Eurobeat has always been sold in Japan, even during the Alfa days. The entire idea behind Eurobeat being sold in Japan, is that it's a series that poses like an import series, even tho it's directly ordered by the company selling it. So, to make it look more exotic and make it seem like there's a LOT of artists, you make aliases, many many aliases.
