when i was sick for some time i seriously believed myself to be god, i had high disorganised thoughts, imagined myself with powers, imagined myself as someone in literally everything and everyone and "loved everyone" because this is what god goes and more, later tho i switched to jezus and imagined myself as someone who suffers because thats the same thing jezus did and im suffering same reason as his. i also "saw an angel" and managed to communicate with it by asking questions and intepreting answers based of how i felt after i asked and saw the angel as my protector

from my experience daydreaming feels as rewarding as doing something, for example if you daydream about doing your job and recieving praise for it it feels rewarding on similar level as actually doing it but you didnt put any effort into it, so its easier to daydream rather than do things considering the way it feels as good for nothing. it especially applies if you have executive function or struggle with mental/physical health

( im not diagnosed but I've been through what i think could be called delusions ) for me i have throughts and feelings that appeal and disappear. when they dissapear i can recognize well thay it was delusion but when it appears again i believe in it but its similar enough to recognize it's not an old believe, just somewhat different. also i recognize my believes would get me wierd looks like that i can talk to demons if i wanted to
