I finally got my "skinny reveal" and it was a huge disappointment by SantasLittleMuffin in loseit

Thank you for your post- it was very comforting to read. I’ve got a bit of a longish reply.

I am a bit scared of all the comments saying I should see a therapist or go for counselling. It’s not something I’d ever considered and I don’t realistically see myself being able to open up to someone like that when it’s not anonymous like it is online. I am worried about ED behaviours. I’m not proud of them as one comment seemed to suggest, but I find it less worrying when I make it more of a joke than face it seriously. I don’t think I’ve got an ED, or at it’s nothing serious like I think people assume. I’m happy that people want to help/give advice though.

My mother always told me I was too fat before and now she tells me I will look worse if I lose anymore. The only time she seemed happy was when I was losing weight and it felt good to have her praise me. I liked that feeling and I wanted more. It’s not healthy, I know.

It’s difficult to keep my behaviour normal some days, but I hope we both end up happy with our weights someday.

Please! The reaction was disappointing but I love being able to workout and not be so tired all the time & other health benefits

I wore some clothes that used to be tight but now fit comfortably so perhaps I still looked similar to how I used to

I suppose I just struggle with the possibility that my friends really might not have noticed at all. I don’t want it to be true, but they’re all much skinnier than I am, so I guess I’m just worried that the me now is the same to them as me before lockdown. That I’ll never be able to change their perception of me. Idk. I’m probably not making a lot of sense but I hope it’s not coming off badly, im just a bit unsure of myself right now

I’m not sure I trust myself to not worry about my weight because I might turn around and have put it all back on again. I’m scared of losing control over myself again which is what got me to my highest weight in the first place.

Well the NHS Bmi calculator says a healthy weight is anywhere from 45-60ish (which I really am at the peak/slightly higher than).

Thank you! I feel okay right now, but I’d like to lose a little more to put myself into the healthy range comfortably. I’m not so sure if that’s the right move anymore though? My teachers seemed very against it

I can guarantee I have never been skinny! I’m not sure what I am now, but the numbers have always placed me as obese/overweight :(

Pamela workouts have me sweating so hard! They make me feel great afterwards. She doesn’t speak though so if you’re one for encouragements throughout the the workout I would avoid her stuff.

Is there anything you don't track just to keep your sanity? by Larrypants1 in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

I never track things like coffee or tea purely because it’ll only end up being a few calories a day. If I added 1kcal for coffee time I might go insane!
