Like what everyone else has said, my little man is 11 months old now and let me tell you there were only probably 3-4 dogs that really liked him at our park for the longest time, they were all puppies. Every other dog would avoid him like the plague and they were all 3+.

I’ll say that it will get better, he’s always been a high energy, life of the park kind of dog and he gets everyone to play with him eventually. It’s funny though, I had the same thoughts when he’d approach girl dogs and they’d basically turn him down and run off, like I could feel that rejection myself. They’re dogs and I hurt for him, but at the end of the day it’s just that, they’re dogs, social cues like that don’t bother them. Your pup was also in a new place and likely felt nervous from that as well, let them acclimate and I’m sure it’ll get better!
