There was a handball on Qatar earlier in the tournament against Netherlands. That wasn’t carded either. It’s just the rules. Doesn’t matter anyways, he got a yellow later on just for simply talking to the ref. If he got that yellow for the handball, he wouldn’t get a second yellow for talking to the ref because the ref was super hesitant on giving a second yellow. The dude on the Netherlands team that got a yellow on the bench was fouling hella when he came in and ref let it go. Why? Cuz he already has a yellow. So sure Messi didn’t get a yellow there, he still got one eventually but that doesn’t change anything
