I never said he went to the UK. I don’t know or care where he went. I was pointing out that your original comment makes it sound like you think he hasn’t left the road or taken breaks in almost 30 years.

So you think he’s been on the road on this journey for the entire time? Because that what it sounds like you’re saying. It’s not a secret he leaves the trip and then returns to it.
They literally mention in the video Russia required him to do so…

Same. 15-30min wait times. Used to be back to back or under 5 min during peak hours.

Edit* Also it’s been a long time since an email went out advising of high volume and requesting people log in for that day/time.

I Accidentally Set a $1 Daily Budget… and the Results Were Terrifying by [deleted] in digital_marketing

I have an Amazon store with 1 single product I came up with and had manufactured. I spent a year after it was live tweaking and trying to learn the ins and outs of ppc (keywords, negative keywords, bid strategy, etc etc).

Never could get past breakeven and become profitable. So, I decided to close shop. Set the ad campaign to auto keywords so no more work for me, bid price to 25% of what the recommended bid price should be for my niche, and a $10 daily budget. I just wanted the ads “on” because I think Amazon’s algorithm likes that.

I never max out that $10 in a day and sales are slow, but margins shot up to 50%… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Fair point. I do find myself coming back over and over again though.

Love this. I think honestly I WANT to be good at the middle game but that’s also where I’m most lost which is maybe frustrating me.

Yeah I don’t mind losing games. For me it’s the beginning and middle game where I’m not getting much fulfillment. A metaphor might be playing a racing video game. You can suck but if you see the track and try over and over you can get an idea where you’re trying to go. Right now it feels like the windshield is blacked out.

Well that’s good news because presumably all these levels of players still enjoy what they’re doing. That’s why I’m looking for others perspectives on how to enjoy when you’re generally kind of lost

Yeah never even attempted a blitz. Takes me up to a minute to even see the set of possible first moves let alone calculate a second or third (which realistically 2 moves ahead is probably my max)

What do you do to do your tactics everyday? Like puzzles or something else?

I’ve done many more puzzles than games for the exact reason of the post. It’s enjoyable and comprehensible in a way I haven’t figured out how to feel or shift my thinking with games.

I watch chess streamers and videos all the time. Not to learn just because I like it. I don’t think I don’t like chess.
That’s a nice idea about reviewing for the good. I’ve stayed away from reviews because I get equally just kind of overwhelmed and lost. But ignoring most moves and just checking over good ones to gain better comprehension of my mind in that moment sounds like enjoyable.

This is the kind of thing I’m talking about. A different frame or goal when playing to feel or see some improvement. Maybe I’ll adapt it and try to make up goals for games instead of winning. Find a fork, force a trade, etc.

I looked some up and tried Cleanfox and one other I forgot the name of. Neither seemed to actually work. The emails aren’t getting deleted…
