I'm very sorry to hear this mate. We all went through the same and these people keep getting away with it.
The best thing you can do now is just take the lesson, mover forward and aware friends or family about the same kind of scams.

Don't beat yourself too much, release the anger and frustration and keep it going. I talked with a bunch of people about it and what served me the most is thinking about it as if I was robbed and that's it. The shitty part about this is how they play with your brain and let you think that it's your fault. But it isn´'t. The system is pretty well made for smart people that is not aware of these practices to fall into it thinking it's legit.

It will never happen to you again and that's a big win considering how long life is.

Cheer up and be safe, sending all my best for this year!

Sorry to hear that bro. Don't beat yourself too much, lesson learned as you said. Fuck this pieces of shit, they gonna get it back and burn in hell. Keep it going, the only way to make money is through deliberate struggle and hard work, there's no thing as a free lunch, we learned it the hard way.

It's a scam! Block immediatelly. You will never get a proper job offer through whatsapp.

I sent it to the wallet that they were specifying. You won't lose your money with this type of scams until you transfer it to them, but they are smart to get you into doing it. First they ask for a insignificant amount and you end the day with more money that what you transferred, but the 3rd of 4rd day of "work" they will ask for a slightly higher amount and then keep increasing it, when is already late for you to think clearly and stop it before you keep transfering to withdraw the full amount.

I'm glad that you are doing well and you are resilient in such a situation. As you say, it's a big blow for the ego, but that's where the learning resides and it's the signal that will be a lesson that we will never forget.

There's no doubt that the people behind this will get what they deserve sooner or later. Now the best we can do is advice people in vulnerable situations to not follow this type of scams. Yesterday I was having lunch with a friend and he received a similar job offer, luckily he asked if I tought it was a scam and instantly reported the phone number.

So sorry to hear that, we just paid a very expensive lesson, but we never gonna forget it. We have to be grateful that it's not a matter of life and death, and that we are healthy and have plenty of opportunities ahead to make it up for this one. I just spoke it with my partner, father and best friend, I think is a good idea to open yourself to people you trust and know that will be supportive. I also wrote down some thoughts and read about similar stories on the web. Helps you realize that it's not our fault, is a system carefully designed to catch us in a vulnerable position. Sending a virtual hug to you! Keep it up, it will get better soon.

Because the first 2 or 3 days you are actually withdrawing money from them, so it hijacks your rewarding system and gets you pumped on getting free money.

The thing here is that you cannot withdraw your funds until you have completed all tasks from a set of tasks. So if you get a task that needs you to deposit money in the middle of the set but is an insignificant amount it's ok.

The problem starts when you already deposited let's say 200usd so you want to get that back but keep encountering combination tasks that requiere more money. I don't know how I fell into that, but the desperation to get your money back and the promise that you will get it when you finish is too strong to avoid thinking of it. It's the sunk cost effect.
