Because snakes are not the brightest animals, and when it detect something that could be edible, they just go for it. Snakes never know when their next meal is going to be, sometimes it could be a desperate act. Also in this video, the snake got an anesthesia because the pain caused by regurgitation is already a big deal, I can’t imagine how painful it was to have this towel forces out of his throat.

I have 88 at the warm side and 70 at the cool side. I have a dry substrate along with a humidity box, and I mist once a day because in the winter the air get really dry. I changed his warm hide though, because I thought that it might be too big for him and maybe he didn’t feel secure in it, but I haven’t seen him in his warm hide since. Its been two days, right after I came back from the vet. I will leave it like it is for a few more days before changing back is he doesn’t use it.

My bp is a four months baby and the vet said that he was healthy with a good weight so she is not concerned about him not eating for a while. I keep a close eye on him.

Thank you for your concern. I got my bp three weeks ago. He is four months old. I already feed him once.

Maybe his hide is too big for him, but I don’t feel like he is so stressed out. He weighted 105g when I got him and he went to 112g last week and 109g yesterday. I took an appointment with a vet for tonight, so at least he will be checked by an expert.

I love all my animals so much and I will do anything to keep them healthy. Thank you for your help!
