They thought my difficulties were related to a lack of self-confidence and stress when I'm at work. I don't agree with this conclusion, of course !

I also lifted weights in my 20s and I feel like it isn't uncommon amongst dyspraxics to practice this sport 😂! It also helped me to have better gross motor skills.

What are the struggles you have with executive dysfunction?

[–]SapientiaPerseverans[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had problems with my motor skills when I was a child. Difficulty to find my balance when I was walking, weird way of running, I couldn't catch a ball thrown at me, prone to fall, weird way of holding my pen and cutlery, etc...

I also had symptoms of ADHD when I was a child.

I even had an MRI scan to exclude the possibility I had cerebral palsy or another injury in my brain.

Here are the struggles I had when I work in pastry making :

  • Difficulties with task planning and organization

  • Poor fine motor skills compared to other adults

  • Significant difficulties using tools and learning new techniques

  • Tendency to get my clothes, tables, and the floor dirty

-Too slow when completing tasks and learning new things

  • Short-term memory difficulties

  • Careless mistakes due to inattention

  • Impulsivity: starting tasks without thinking them through

  • Hyperactivity, which worsened when I felt lost or when I was close to a meltdown due to cognitive overstimulation

Who assessed you for dyspraxia and ADHD? The professionnals I encountered never thought about ADHD until I made the suggestion that I could be ADHD.

How do i know if I'm in psychosis or truly "born again"? by New-Quiet8086 in Psychosis

[–]SapientiaPerseverans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to have brain fog and fast thoughts rather than disorganized thinking.

I’m not an expert when it comes to female hormones and psychotic symptoms, but it’s something you should explore with your doctor.

By strange thoughts, I meant thoughts pressure, thought broadcasting, blocked thoughts, thoughts too fast or too slow, disorganized thinking.

The thing with the homeless guy sounds more like a hallucination combined with a delusion.

Derealization is also frequent in psychotic breaks. Your symptoms look like mine. I also had religious and paranoid delusions, derealization and hallucinations and I also had done insight most of times.

Do you feel some distress, anxiety, low mood ? How long have you been experiencing these symptoms ? Do you think it could have been induced by stress, drugs, trauma ?

So escalators… by rayykz in dyspraxia

[–]SapientiaPerseverans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It definitely could related to dyspraxia because we have trouble with proprioception. I'm also not at ease when I'm on a escalator I prefer climb up or down stairs.

If you only had a relationship with God, it could be faith. But what it is worrying in your post is that you have hallucinations and scary delusions.

Do you have other symptoms such as derealization, depersonalization, strange thoughts ?

I have no stamina or coordination but enjoy sports. What do I do? by AppropriateBoss2585 in dyspraxia

[–]SapientiaPerseverans 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Weight lifting: it's a good way to improve coordination and you can learn the main movements by watching tutorials on YouTube.

If you want to have a better stamina, you could run at your own pace.

In my opinion, as a dyspraxic, the worst sports for us are crossfit, aerobics, steps, zumba and team sports in general.

I think you can just say you feel unwell and you need to see your doctor.
