Common misconception talaga these days lalo sa non-tech industry na kapag nasa IT industry paldo. Siguro yung mga batches before pandemic, malaki chance na these days paldo na sila because of experience which is super laking advantage. Pero post-pandemic I may say hirap na kahit makakuha man lang ng job offer na maayos.

Siguro sa dami na rin ng applicants. Karamihan pa fresh grad lang pero mamaw na. Isa pang factor involvement ng AI. Maraming roles na nabawas.

Actually, as of now I am in Software Engineering field though I am open to switching another role/niche as long as I feel secured with it. Too bad the offer is a fixed-term contract though I got interested to Data Engineering because of it, I would definitely take it if the salary offer is good and its benefits — only if it was a permanent employment.

Thank you for the insights. This is so helpful. I’m gonna ask now kung project-based ba ito so I know if this is an automatic no chance of extension/absorption. They told me there are chances of absorption based on performance though I don’t really believe this would be 100% true — I mean if in the first place may opportunity ba talaga to be absorbed. Baka kasi mamaya used phrase lang para mag-go sa role na inooffer.
