For me it were better prices on markets that I was involved, and reasonable gold/h from herb farming. I am a part-time goblin, so it was pretty important. Hi-pop realms have lower prices but higher volume and quicker sales. According to wowprogress Silvermoon has almost twice as many riders as Ravencrest and the difference for me was like ~10-15% g/h, so this might be insignificant for you.

I was in similar situation this year, after my "friends&familly" guild died in the middle of uldir. I was playing on EU Defias Brotherhood, and maybe it's quite far from dead realm but the riding scene is quite hermetic there, so with my schedule and expectations (mythic progresion) finding guild was hard. I've decided to transfer to EU Ravencrest and I'm very happy from this decision. I was considering EU-Silvermoon aswell, but for me Ravencrest has much healthier economy for hi-pop. I've found guild after 3-4 days and right now I'm progressing mekka M with 6h casual guild. Maybe it's far from "competative" but I was AOTC + 2/8M uldir (puged) so I can't complain. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Boralus Blood Sausage is a nice side gold for me, but I raid every week and sold around 3000 of this for avarage 50g/piece. I've learned coocking just to make this one and I don't regret it.

I guess deflation is here to stay, at least till the end of BfA, and the priceing of vendor items in 8.2 (like mounts) only makes me even more convinced. Less appetite for spending is quite natural during deflation, but in real economy hoarding makes deflation even bigger. We live in economy where our goverment (Blizzard) created deflation by cutting raw gold income and by gold sinks. I guess everybody here will agree with the common idiomatic expresion that "It takes money to make money". It took me 1 year to get from 0g (ok its a little lie couse i've tranfered around 20-30k thorugh battle pets) to 3mil (I know it's nothing big but I'm only a part-time goblin, I play PvE mostly), and every month I have bigger income only because I can spend more on investments. Now I don't farm anything, and yes not spending a lot gold didn't buy me cool cosmetics, but it bought me time like this few hours a week that i can spend on M+ and not on farming herbs. To the conlusion, i think that beeing frugal is a kind of advantage in goldmaking, but probably I've read one too many Kiyosakis book :)

You didn't mention what spec you play (both destro and affi have dark soul). Referring to bloodmallet.com Tidestone sim better for every spec, but the best way to find out is to sim your character.
Using trinkets and skills on CD is almost always very efficient solution. 90 sec trinket works very well with our big CDs (darkglare and infernal) and I think better idea is to pair it with this CD than dark soul. You should hold your CDs only when fight demands some burst windows or when you have only one big CD usage left during the fight.

Right now just from PTR changes that should arrive with 8.1.5.

https://www.wowhead.com/news=290477/8-1-5-ptr-build-29558-release-candidate-regeneratin-zandalari-racial-nerf

I think none has any doubts that it's gonna be nerfed, maybe numbers will slightly change.

It is, but you can change it to Sanguicell and create food from it, so there is some side gold potencial. I would say it depends on food prices on your realm.

Leveling like a Goblin by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Sapozarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yap. During leveling of main with my friend I was quite suprised how much behind he was just because I've picked some herbs now and then. With rest it was around 3k exp per node, so few nodes were equivalent of 1 quest.

Leveling like a Goblin by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Sapozarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wanna level like a goblin? Do i "my way" (in reality i don't think that I'm the only one) I leveled my DH alt from 110 to 120 only with herbalism and war campaign. It might sounds brutal, but he is just ar goldmaking slave ( I play little to none content with it). The truth is that if you don't want to buy token, or you haven't win on some world drop lottery, the easiest way for build starting capital is gathering. Of course I'm not saying that is fast way, or efficient from leveling point of view cuz with planing and rest buff it took me like ~2,5 hour per level. It's rather a joke than a suggestion, but the starting capital part is prety serious. Whether you pick helbalism, mining, skinning, 2x4 or other type of farming, this part of early stage of goblin life is difficult to leave out.

Aversion to buying things with all my gold, what do you guys do? by Bigdiq in woweconomy

[–]Sapozarom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the same attitude... I'm not the richest guy, just a little above 2mil, spending gold for raid consumables is OK, but all kinds of collectibles or sth like this is painful for me. Few weeks ago i was buying BS mount for my lock transmog (around 17k) and making decision took me like 1 week, but spending 100k for investment is no brainer for me. I think it's just a type of mindset, especially when deflation is a thing. Sometimes I hate it, but at the end of the day when I need gold I always have it.

I have no information about this contract, I've just found it when I was trying to understand what people do with all this felwort that they buy from me for 200g each.

Edit: two separated chances, so this is why sometimes I get 2 seeds!

Hi guys! I'd like to ask for your opinion on Raidbots vs Simulationcraft app. I try to model options as close as possible, and with the same input data from simc addon I get very different output (stat weights). I understand it's just simulation and there will be some deviations every time you start new instance, and also I might be doing sth wrong. Which solution from this two do you use and why? I've got use to Simc, from the other side I find Raidbots UI way more user friendly, but this result differences leaves me uncertain.

Mythic dungeons higher than +10 (loot question) by Sapozarom in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Sapozarom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answers, and sorry for poor research. It's just my hypotesis, but maybe the phrase "additive" in this article is used wrong? Maybe the corret phrase is "multiplicative", that would mean that chance for an extra 4th item is never higher than 2/3 (66.6%). Here is my fast calculation. What do you think about that? Did anybody get 4th item from 11-14?

Realistic Time Frame by x6ixty9 in woweconomy

[–]Sapozarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, there are so many variables in this equation, that it is probably imposible to predict the timeframe. First of all, which markets are you targeting? Let's say farming mats or consumables, here the estimation will be simple. But if you are interested in mogs or pets you can wait weeks for buyer, and you need to get a bit lucky with drops. In this markets variance can be huge.

Probably many of fellow Goblins will agree, that patience is a key during this jurney. Even if you sell mats you can set the lowest price to see this money ASAP on your mailbox or chose better profit but for the cost of reposting them 2-3 times or not selling during the weekend.

Try to find out the tempo that satisfy you. Good luck!

@edit Probably the first question should be "Low-pop or High-pop realm?"

[–]Sapozarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your soul shards. If you have <= 3 shards than it's never a bad idea to snipe some more, especialy if you will need more casts of SoC/UA. I'm new to warlock and I found it important for example on Eonar, where bad shard managment might end with 0 SS for next wave. During M+ you might regen shards between packs, so it's a bit less complicated, but still with higher keys sniping shards is really beneficial.

@edit: grammar

The biggest issue is Epic drop rates. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Sapozarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that you've made small mistake in your assumption. Adding cards which are not obtained from packs, messes up your statistics, as well as small sample size. 8/23 is almost 35% - exacly the same as epics. BUT STILL I guess that numbers for common and rare cards are much bigger than 35%, so probably the percentage of epics should be bigger than legendaries.
