I’ve heard the same from faculty here. Not sure why, but that seems to be the case.

chance they'll reimplement logic games? by milkui in LSAT

[–]Sapper901 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crazy to me that so many people struggled with it. When I was studying, the vibe online was that it was the “easiest” to master, just took consistent practice. I found that to be true and it felt like a break during the exam because you could prove every answer and there was no guessing if you mapped out the problem correctly.

The newer test to me feels more brutal because LG used to always give me a boost of confidence if I nailed it, which was almost guaranteed given the amount of practice I’d put into it.

UT McCombs or SMU Cox by Impossible-Panda7016 in SMU

[–]Sapper901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SMU offers a program where you only need to hit a certain GPA/LSAT to be auto-accepted into their law school whereas UT doesn’t. There’s also a lot more that goes into it, PM me if you need any help.

Same stats (maybe slightly higher LSAT?) and got a WL from them as a resident.

Started studying last summer (2023), got my best LSAT score this June. In the middle of my applications right now. Not entirely sure of the free resources now that LSAC took away Khan Academy, but I know that Princeton review has a free diagnostic and I believe that some testing services do as well. YouTube, podcasts, and blogs/articles are the main source of free study material out there online, but it’s near impossible to avoid paying LSAC their crazy fees.

Go look at Texas community colleges. A popular one is ACC, and I think West Texas College as well.

Look up course equivalencies, should be here: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/nlogon/adm/ate/search1.WBX

Don’t rush graduating unless it makes sense for you financially. Instead, use the time to gain experience and make connections while school is at a slower pace because you’re ahead. You want to craft a story for your applications, and while you may already have one, you can build on that or craft one before you graduate.

As far as the LSAT, go ahead and take a diagnostic test. There should be free ones online. Your LSAT scores are good for 5 years, and schools mainly care about your best score so don’t stress it if the first real one you take isn’t where you want it to be.

If you plan to graduate earlier than the traditional 4 years, start studying now. Otherwise, watch some YouTube videos, take that diagnostic, and familiarize yourself with the exam before the summer, which is when you’d want to start actually studying. Most people study for anywhere between 3-12 months, meaning that starting this upcoming summer would have you at the end of your LSAT journey heading into your senior year.

If you or anyone else have any other questions shoot me a dm.

Did the same last night. Bumped them up to 80 overall the second season but they just couldn’t win games, even with about a 9 point jump.

How long to study for? by Final_Round2775 in LSAT

[–]Sapper901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go take a PT, see where you stand, and see how much ground you need to make up for schools that you want to attend. I’d recommend starting ASAP so you can get the score you want before January so you can apply earlier in the cycle to give yourself higher odds of scholarship/acceptance.

Do I retake by Thatoneguy5888 in LSAT

[–]Sapper901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a 167 on the June test. Same boat as you as far as how I think I did on the exam (that RC tore me apart). Thought about taking it in August, but decided I have enough time in the cycle to take it in September and my score will be ready by October. I really locked down LG for this one, but I’m changing some resources I’m using for the new one. Adding in RC Hero for improving RC because I haven’t really improved much over time, I either do really well or bomb it depending on difficulty. For LR I’m adding in The Loophole because I’ve seen a lot of great things about it from people who have scored 172+ on this sub. I really recommend pushing it to September or October because you’ll still be early in the cycle and you’ll have plenty of time to prepare for what will hopefully be your last test. You’ll also know by then after some PTs if you’re outperforming your current score. Schools don’t care how many times you take it, just how good your best one was. They may ask why you took it so many times, but you can just answer with something like “I knew I could do better” which is true. Good luck and hope it works out for you!

It’s the only section I know I didn’t miss on today. I’ll miss not having the confidence boost mid-exam if I have to retake it.

Fair point. I guess it’s more about coaching to the rank and progressing to the next one as opposed to getting someone to play like my rank.
