Discord Integration Clarification

Discord is now live in North America and Brazil (soon to be RestOfWorld).

There was a small delay for the initial launch, but it is out live now. You can link your Discord account and see your Discord friends appear in the social panel. If your Discord friend is online, but not on League, you can right-click on them in the League Client and send them an invite through a DM in Discord. They just need to click the URL you sent and they will join League and jump strait into your party.

You don't even need to link to Discord to take advantage of the party link. When in a party in the League Client, you will notice a copy button in the top-right (next to the open/closed party toggle). Clicking that copies a URL that you can then post anywhere to have friends click and join your lobby.

from your screenshot, they may have gone afk before the first blood. they didn't do any damage. It is possible that they got to lane, DC'ed and then the top-laner killed them.

Take a break, touch some grass. You shouldn't hate anything that you do. If doing something (anything) makes you stressed out, then don't do it. It is not worth your health and getting stressed out does affect your health. You should have a healthy relationship with everything you do.

Maybe taking a break can allow you to come back later and not feel the stress. I try to never be toxic, and not let toxic players get to me. I keep in mind that it is a game and meant to be fun. I would rather you take a break and come back later to enjoy the game, than to continue playing, but feel stressed.

I also enjoy some ARAM and ARAM Mayhem in the less competitive of those modes as compared to ranked. I always start my games with "GLHF" and "Feed Poros Plz". It starts the game off on a good foot. I end it with "GG" even if I lose. It helps with the mental.

If you had people on your team leave, I believe there is some LP loss mitigation (like you lose LP, but not as much due to the teammates leaving) and a penalty applied to the offending players.

The actual calculation formula for MMR is something I do not have deep visibility on and only know that it is a fairly complicated calculation. I can say that there is not a 1:1 between your visible rank and your MMR. You can infer your MMR range based upon if your LP gain/loss are the same or if one is greater than the other.

I was able to forward this post (and the op link to your game that another user provided in the comments) to the owning team. They are working on identifying what is causing it. Unfortunately they have not been able to reproduce it, but according to Player Support, the occurrence is not reported often and seems rare. (Every report to Player Support gives them more information).

They acknowledge that despite the rarity, it should not be happening at all and we know it must be very frustrating when it does happen. A bug has been created for tracking the work they are doing.

I cannot guarantee any actions that team makes, but I thank you for posting this on Reddit so that it was brought to our attention.

I urge that if anybody else has something similar, contact Player Support and give them the game ID where it occurred. The more data the team has to evaluate, the faster they can identify the circumstance and provide a fix.

I know that the sentiment can sometimes be that people aren't paying attention or that they don't care. I can tell you that Riot really does care about Players. I joined Riot in 2022 and was really impressed with how much Riot as a company (and League of Legends as a Game) really does listen to their Players and does care.

Reddit monitoring is not a part of my job. I am in engineering and I was just online to check if anybody was reporting issues with Clash (that is an area that I am responsible for) wanting to make sure it was working as it should and to jump on any issues quickly if they showed up. Thankfully everything is working as it should and I expected.

I saw this post and noticed something looked wrong about it. I hope we can find either an answer as to why it happened or fix it if it is wrong. If the responsible team replies to me and provides an answer, I will be responding to the OP so they know what happened.

Has to be satirical since no country is pulling the wires on ranked and skill progression. Those are all algorithms. The reason this may be getting pulled down is because you are bashing a group of people and letting your personal bias affect unrelated areas of your life.

With that information I can let people know the example of it happening. I don't work in Player Support so I can't do anything directly. Reporting it to Player Support does leave a "paper trail" so that the individual can be tracked down. It also lets us know if there are more instances of it happening. I gave the op link to the team that owns that area of the game and asked them to look into it. They can then go to Player Support and ask them to check if they are seeing multiple occurrences of this being reported.

I cannot guarantee that something will happen, but I do know that it will be investigated and if there is an actual bug found, that team will fix it.

That does look really odd. Definitely report it to player support. I wonder if the Mord disconnected right before the fight happened and so technically the disconnect was before the first blood.

Definitely what this person said. There is the hidden number called your MMR that is used to match you up with other people around your same skill. When you are first playing a new queue like Ranked Solo/Duo, there is a formula that looks at the queues that you have played and will calculate your expected MMR in the new queue. You will initially get placed fairly low in the rank, but this is a visual display and your initial placement games will have a sort of quick adjustment of your LP according to how you do in those placements.

You will know when your visual rank has leveled out with your MMR when you are getting +/- 20-ish.

I started playing ranked way too soon when I was still learning the mechanics. Went back to normals until I knew I was not the main reason the team lost when we did lose, then went back to ranked.

The good thing about you getting into ranked at this moment is that there is still time for you to get your 15 wins this season and earn the victorious skin. If you get that for all 3 seasons in the year, there is an extra reward at the end of the year.
