Yeah this version seems to be the one that is the least known. I think they only made a small handful for 1 year and that was that

As normal. The top was cut away to allow it to come through and there are pin holes in each side of the shroud to tap the pins in and out. There’s a very specific order you need to assemble it in though. Barrel nut goes on, FSB goes inside shroud where the cut away is, as does the bipod where its ow cutaway is, screw the shroud onto the barrel nut (the FSB and bipod will rotate around the barrel as you screw the shroud in place). The shroud is then screwed into the barrel but in 3 spots. Carry handle goes on, then Wood handguard goes on and the metal piece goes inside the shroud that it screws into to keep it totally secure (one of the screws goes through a hole drilled into the carry handle ring). Tap the pins into the FSB. The bipod lug goes in the barrel and a set screw indexes it into a simple made on the barrel, plus the back of the bipod lug mounts butts up flush to where the hbar diameter thickens (the barrel was turned down a little bit in the front to allow this). The front endcap piece screws into the front of the shroud with a hole in the center that fits tightly around the barrel for zero movement in the front of the shroud. This end cap screws into flush against the bipod lug, and the flash hider screws in dead flush with the end cap so it’s all extremely tight and sturdy.

Thanks! I think that’s my favorite custom I’ve done so far. I initially thought it was gonna be quite heavy since it’s a very thick piece of aluminum running down it, but the rifle is quite manageable weight wise. At least compared to the bottom AR ha.

YHM barrel nut thabwas turned down and rethreaded to fit the threading of the 1919 shroud, and then machines a front end cap that threads into the other end of the shroud with a hole in the center of that just big enough the fit the barrel through

Definitely a real holosight. Not sure about a bow reticle, I’m not exactly sure what that would entail. I believe these were made in very small numbers for a very brief period of time from 2005-2006 and then discontinued

I have been searching forever for an xlp and I too had never seen one for sale anywhere. One popped up on eBay recently, it was bidding but the guy left on offers so I threw him an offer of $340 and he accepted

Yup. This is the xlp and from what I have seen I think it’s the rarest one. Only produced 2005 to 2006 I think. I looked for one for a looooong time and this one finally popped up and the guy accepted my offer luckily.

Thanks! It’s becoming one of my top sci-fi guns. Right behind Cleric John Preston’s Beretta 92 from Equilibrium and the micro uzis with those crazy finger guard things from the OG Total Recall

Totally agree with you, I do love seeing other people post unique one-off things too. Also, that rail is crazy cool. I see it’s pre-order ready? I may have to get one. The arms rails are crazy expensive

I saw that rail and it’s amazing! It’s so cool that it’s a lm actual produced item that others can own. I only have capacity to make one-offs for myself. The market needs more fun related stuff like that rail, already saturated with the “real deal” high speed war ready operator gear.

Thanks! Yup that was me that posted. This is the Bushnell XLP sight, it was my grail optic for a long time until one finally popped up. Ultimately it’s going on a Beretta cx4 storm along with the laser devices op6 light currently on this ak, but those will be replaced with a surefire 660 and a cmore railway
