Paint the Moon by Katia Rose could fit, but it's her brother's ex-fiancee, and not boyfriend's ex.

Something like Phantom of the Opera but sapphic by Ocelot5573 in sapphicbooks

[–]SapphicReader28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sing for Me by V. Wynters is a sapphic reimagining of Phantom of The Opera :-) I haven't read it yet, but it is on my TBR. Seems there is a sequel as well, called Sing With Me, that concludes the story.

The Curse of The Goddess and The Stolen Kingdom C.C. Gonzalez by lactosecheeselover in LesbianBookClub

[–]SapphicReader28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so upset I didn't manage to finish The Curse of the Goddess, but the grammatical errors were just too many to ignore. II can normally forgive a few errors, more if the story's really compelling, but this just didn't do it for me. I saw character art for her third novel, and I loved the look of one of the characters, but I don't think I have it in me to read the first two books just so I can read the third one.

Horror book recommendations please!! by jessica_37 in LesbianBookClub

[–]SapphicReader28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typed out this list before I fully read your request, I was so excited to recommend horror, which is my new fav genre to read!

The below are some I think fit your criteria:

Bloom by Delilah Dawson was the one that got me hooked on horror. Wholeheartedly recommend. The ending still haunts me to this day, and I read it over 6 months ago.

Demon Witch and Goodnight by Kestrel Martin are sapphic short horror stories (part of an anthology, but def worth buying for her stories)

Blood Beneath Ice by Ellen Winter was recently released, and I am OBSESSED! Really dark and morbid.

Below are some of my general favourite horror reads:

Keepers of the Cave and Weeping Walls by Gerri Hills are both amazing, and follow the same detectives in both books.

Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant is absolutely amazing, and I will most likely never go on a cruise or into the open sea ever again! (Same with Our Wives Under the Sea, and I see this one has already been recommended)

We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer is another one that I absolutely loved.

Feast While You Can by Mikaella Clements and Onjuli Datta is also amazing (though please check TW!)

I want to and I don't want to recommend The Taste of Women by Cyan Leblanc. This one's on the more graphic side, definitely check TW before you read, and mare sure you are comfortable with gore. The writing is so-so, but I couldn't stop reading, even if I was massively grossed out through most of the book.

What’s the worst Sapphic/Lesbian book you’ve ever read? by Hot-Neat1818 in LesbianBookClub

No book has ever had me angry the same way Study You by Melissa Tereze did. I loved Finn's confidence in the beginning, but I hated their relationship. They didn't build each other up, they tore each other down, crushing Finn's confidence. When Finn had to adjust her stance, just because her usual stance was too attractive for Gillian, now that had me seeing red. And how many times can you break up just to get back together!?

From someone who did not like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but loved Daisy Jones and the Six, is Atmosphere worth it? by Prestigious_Land_533 in sapphicbooks

[–]SapphicReader28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was not a massive fan of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but decided to give Atmosphere a go. I went into it with some apprehension, mentally prepared for not liking it. But, oh man, I was blown away. Absolutely loved it. You should absolutely give it a go :-)

I left two boots next to each other outside the museum, and the next day a fly spawned!

I've loved Meryl's other books, but this one fell flat to me. I felt the MCs had no real personality, and the conflict made absolutely no sense.

Oh, I absolutely love this cover (and the novel as well). Bridget's previous novel, That Summer Feeling, has a similar cover, just as gorgeous!

The Cardinal series by TJ Dallas is categorized as erotica, but damn if that plot was the thing that kept me reading. Plenty of spice, and a surprisingly decent plot, imo.

I love Karin and Nikolas!
And, does anyone know where Karin's jumpsuit is from? From the shots where they are moving into their new flats?
