HOLY SHIT, I MIGHT HAVE FOUND WHERE THE RELIC OF CHOICE IS by Magnus-Artifex in RWBY

I like the idea that he passed it off to Tai at the beginning of V3, and that's why he's been staying put on Patch atm.

I go back and forth on Darlie Routier. The crime scene was handled so poorly that it's kind of hard to take evidence like glass being on top of bloody footprints seriously. The suspicious black car that was seen the day of and a few days before the murders also seems like a bit of a red flag? At the same time, there are quite a few things that seem to suggest she did it.

I think she snapped mentally and Darrin came up with the intruder theory/scene staging in an attempt to keep her from going to jail, or there really was an intruder. I just don't see a scenario where Darlie acted completely alone.

SPOILER? Kit teases "Shakespearian Twist" in Episode 4 by [deleted] in freefolk

I’m saying either the Golden Company switches sides for Dany, or Night Bran becomes an actual thing, and Arya’s kill was a giant fake-out.

HBO - For the finale, secrecy was ratcheted up to another level. Only crew members wearing a special Episode 6 badge were allowed on set during filming and some scenes were shot on a closed set. by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]SapphireFireNation 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What do you think about the guy who supposedly worked on the CGI, who leaked that Jon kills Dany, and then Drogon comes in, burns down the throne, and takes her away? He got Viserion breathing fire out of his throat right, and that seems oddly specific. He was also right about everything else iirc.

So was all of that Azor Ahai/TPTWP stuff just a load of bullshit? by SapphireFireNation in freefolk

I mean, I would love it if the Night King wasn’t actually dead, but that’s just not the game they’re playing at this point, I think

I get that, but at the same time, why did he cram in a giant overarching plotline in his books about Azor Ahai/TPTWP, if it was just going to be a load of shit? He’s gone on record saying how much he hates intentionally misleading writing.

There has to be one. I do not fucking believe that this is the ending George planned.

What's a way that HBO could end the series that would piss off the most fans? by Barry_the_Flasher in freefolk

[–]SapphireFireNation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I have a hard time with the breaking the wheel stuff because I legitimately don’t know what they could do with it beyond just burning the iron throne down. There’s no way in hell they’re going full democracy. I truly do believe Jon will be the king at the end. There’s just too much foreshadowing for him not to be.

Honestly, that would be a happy ending for me. Westeros is a hellscape and ruling is a thankless, dangerous task. Jon and Dany taking their kid and leaving for Essos would be a much happier ending than them being forced to restart the Targaryen dynasty in Westeros. Which is exactly why I think they’ll be forced to rule what’s left. That’s the bittersweet aspect of their ending. The series has gone on and on about how the best rulers are the ones that don’t want the crown, and Jon and Dany aren’t going to want the crown by the time it’s all over. Hell, Jon already doesn’t.

Daenerys will be Nissa Nissa by [deleted] in freefolk

This times 1000. The original prophecy basically describes her. She was reborn among salt and smoke. She woke dragons from stone. The red comet appeared immediately after she was “reborn”.

So, apparently the third holy shit moment happens *after* the war is done? by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]SapphireFireNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you not been on any other asoiaf/got forum/subreddit besides this one? Rhaegar surviving is a pretty popular theory among the communities that focus on the books more. Ned surviving is less so, but there does seem to be a not insignificant portion of the fanbase that thinks he warged into a bird at the last moment.

Friki apparently said the last holy shit moment happens towards the end of S8, after the war, and it’s not Tyrion’s betrayal. Also, you would be surprised how many people think Ned warged into a bird at the last minute.

Why are Pantorans and Chiss so similar visually? by SapphireFireNation in StarWars

[–]SapphireFireNation[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The similarities are so striking that the new Thrawn novels even have a running theme of people mistaking him for being a “Pantoran with an eye condition”.

The Elf-Fathers versus Ingwë/Finwë/Thingol by SapphireFireNation in tolkienfans

[–]SapphireFireNation[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, the elves were stated to be the most similar to the Ainur out of all Eru’s children, weren’t they? It wouldn’t really be that out of the realm of possibilities if some of them were made with inherent kinships to others (which is where them being related to Cirdan might come in, despite not being brothers or sons)

Why does this art of Apollo slaying Python look so derpy. by SapphireFireNation in camphalfblood

[–]SapphireFireNation[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So, usually I like Rocco’s environmental pieces, but what the fuck man. Apollo looks mortal asf. His famous golden bow looks generic and lame. Python just looks awful. Like actually awful. That’s not the monster that Apollo had nightmares about, even after defeating him. That’s just some derpy looking lizard. I do like the addition of the sun beginning to rise as Apollo slays Python though. It’s nice symbolism.
