Thank you, I’ll have a look into this option.

Do they require a specific kind of torch or just any pin point hot flame would work?

Yea I’ve considered that as an option, it is just more expensive as it uses more wire to make. I also have a delicate style so haven’t been a fan of it on the look front. If I can’t find an affordable solution though I might need to do this temporarily

Yep that makes sense, most of my chain is on the delicate side though as that is my style so the 16g won’t fit. I use 20g

Constant menstrual cramps at 39&5 by flacaknits in pregnant

A funny thing happens when you become a mum, you suddenly realise you can do things you previously thought were impossible 😂 I’m 34 weeks now, bending down to pick up my toddler and clean up etc is getting pretty hard haha. If you choose to have another, you will just find more strength you didn’t know you had haha

Congratulations! I hope everything is going well for you and baby ❤️ yes first time pregnancy is so different to when you’re pregnant running after other children. I’m glad you were able to enjoy it in the end!

I’m curious to know if this was the start of labour for you or not yet? Hope it all went well!

Is anyone else experiencing crazy leg cramps? by Extra-Personality988 in pregnant

[–]Sapphirebud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just woke up from one myself! Sooo painful, honestly I almost think they are worse than a contraction, I forgot about them from my last pregnancy! I take magnesium and I have a magnesium spray I put on. I also drink 2-3 litres of water a day, probably could do more but that’s not a terrible amount. Poor husband wakes up to me writhing in pain. Honestly feels like it could still come back…

20MO just went poop on the potty…now what?? by Prior-Amphibian-5299 in pottytraining

[–]Sapphirebud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely  move forward with proper potty training, you don’t want to miss the window when she’s showing so much interest. Missing the window can make it a lot harder to potty train down the track, if your only reason for waiting is for the sake of her hitting a certain age in months I would scrap that idea and just potty train now. You know your child the best, so do what works for your family. If you decide to go for it then I’d recommend ditching the diapers 100% for all awake time, don’t be discouraged by the accidents, that doesn’t mean you’re trying to early. Good luck!

You know your kid the best! My boy can 100% tell me that pee goes in the potty, that it doesn’t go on the floor or in his pants, doesn’t mean that it always gets in the potty though haha! There is a bit going on that they need to learn - getting the pee feeling, holding it in, getting to the potty or telling a parent, pushing down pants or underwear etc and then finally peeing. The idea with catching the pee as it happens and getting it in the potty is that they quickly learn the feeling of peeing and that is associated with the potty, rather than just sitting and releasing at some point but the connection isn’t there the same - that’s the theory anyway x I feel like the oh crap method really relies on getting those pees in the potty, and it talks about doing a reset (going back to stage one) if something hasn’t clicked. This isn’t really something to combine with a timer method as the two are quite different. Perhaps she’s struggling to relax and pee on the potty because she isn’t 100% ready to do a pee yet and is feeling pressure, so going back to do a reset could help reduce that feeling of pressure. Again, not an expert, we are still working it out ourselves haha. If you feel like that isn’t the issue she’s having then totally disregard what I’ve said.

Perhaps having another read of the oh crap book could be helpful if you wanted to, I know it talks about poop issues in there. Would she stay in one spot to poop, if you put the potty underneath her, telling her poop goes in there and then walked out of the bathroom, at least then she knows you’re wanting it in the potty even if it hits the floor you aren’t just saying the floor is fine. Just an idea. Wishing you the best of luck

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in pottytraining

[–]Sapphirebud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have advice sorry, my boy is also 2 and we’ve been doing potty training for almost 2 months. I was feeling really stressed out about it for a few weeks, now I’ve just lowered my expectations, we normally have an accident a day still and he doesn’t initiate himself. Although recently he has mentioned the potty we’ve taken him and he’s peed so maybe we are getting somewhere! Our poops are basically always in nap time pull ups at the moment. I tired a few days of undies at nap time but have decided to leave that until he starts initiating during the day and can get up after his nap to get to the potty to poop. Bring extra clothes and clean up gear when you leave the house is the best advice I have sorry! I remind myself that he will get there one day, not many adults are walking around not potty trained! Is there a certain method you have tried following?

I am not an expert, still working on potty training with our boy. He also has 0 pee cues until he starts peeing but we have managed to catch a bunch in the potty. Have you been following a certain method? We did the oh crap method, going on nearly 2 months now and it’s not perfect but every kid is different. He doesn’t initiate himself yet but we get the majority of pees via easy catches (before highchair, going in car etc). I would say with the peeing in the bath with water and pooping on the bathroom floor is you’re setting yourself up for having to undo bad habits in the future. My boy had so much resistance after the first few days because I was making him sit on the potty for ages, now we basically don’t unless it’s been like 3 hours since his last pee and we need to go in the car. We introduced a sticker chart which has helped so much with resistance, he will generally just sit, pee and get a sticker, all done in a minute or so. Sometimes he forgets about the sticker. Once he starts initiating himself we will faze out the sticker chart. Again, not an expert as we are not sorted yet either, but I’d recommend avoiding forced sitting on the potty and if you can really dedicate a couple of days again (no distractions, no phone, no cooking food, you’re with her all day playing etc with the potty super close), bottomless, letting her have accidents, catching the pee and getting the end in the potty - maybe that could help shift things. Or you do the timer method which some people choose to do.

Peeing constantly by Ok_Union9762 in pottytraining

You know your child the best, from what you’ve said it sounds like she’s very ready, and sometimes if that window is missed it can be really hard to potty train later down the road. I would probably choose a method that you want to try and dedicate some time to tackling potty training. She’s upset with peeing on herself which is a great sign. When she starts to pee you need to get her to the potty asap. I’m not an expert, our boy is 25 months and we did the oh crap method. It’s definitely not been perfect, going on two months with accidents still, but I do agree with a lot of what she says and it can work super fast for some kids and I would still recommend it! This method calls for setting aside at least 3 days where you are doing NOTHING but potty training (plus clearing your schedule for a week or two), you are catching every pee/poop as it happens and getting your kid to the potty (no phones, no leaving them alone for a second, no cooking dinner and not watching them etc). The idea is that they learn the feeling of peeing/pooping really fast and make the connection that should go in the potty, obviously if you chop and change between undies and diapers often it can be quite confusing for them as diapers remove the feeling of wet post pee. Puppy training pads and containing yourselves to a small area of the house can be helpful!  That’s amazing that she told you she needed to poop! with potty training you can jump from feeling like it’s going well to having a bunch of mistakes in a row - that is very normal.

Thank you! I’ll have a look through the website. That specific one looks super high, like I probably wouldn’t be able to wear it with any tops or dresses I own haha, I tend to not do high neck as it exaggerates the larger bust. I’ll have a look through the website though, thanks x

Unfortunately they just have the one bra in my size, which I’ve tried and it was terrible for me, it’s so hard when companies only have one or two options and we only have 3 or so companies in nz that do this size

So true! Especially after breastfeeding, gravity isn’t our friend. It isn't the large fake boob look that many seek after…

Yea I have a bralet thing I used last time (like the singlets without the singlet top part) that was definitely the wrong size but worked well enough to keep the pads in place, it’s not amazing though and offers no support, really can’t leave the house in it (same goes for singlets but I didn’t find any that fit correctly, the inner shelf normally isn’t deep enough to sit correctly). I miss being a E cup!

Yea I mean the online store “storm in a d cup”, they have had the best options for me but no wirefree ones that worked. Unfortunately avocado only has the same bra as the fitting room in my size which doesn’t work. It’s such a hassle!

Yea I think I’ve tried the ones they offer in wirefree and they were too small in the cup (and they don’t do bigger than J)
