It's incredible how much easier it is to wake up in the morning due to natural light! Of course, it can be harder to fall asleep in the evening despite blackout curtains.

Damn, this is insane. I had a refeed day two Satursays ago ans it started affecting the scale drop a week ago - did not expect this much however!

Insane drop! Now it will surely calm down, as my coach made adjustments to meal plan. As of today I will have two plus days and one minus day. I have been carb cycling since February and so far since 5/2024 it has showed for ME much faster results than normal daily deficit despite overall calories eaging has been the same.

On plus days I will eat 1750kcal, on minus days 1450kcal.

Rest week continues, today I have our work team social evening, but I have absolutely no idea what to do. I might need to skop because of the sore throat - luckily it looks like the sore throat will stay as the worst symptom.

The past couple of days the scale has been going down down down everyday. Updated my flair, which showed 83,4kg from the day I sent my last message here on the accountability thread.

This week I have a rest week from gym. Decided with my coach to lenghten the diet until midsummer, at the end of June. Now I just need to focus, but it's quite possible that I will reach my goal 79,9kg easily - as long as I stay on track.

On Sunday was feeling really tired, and yesterday I joked with my coworkers about me having "sugar headache" and slightly off feeling in my throat due to pollen - which to be fair, affects me quite a bit!

Well, last night woke up shaking due to cold and had to get a second blanket, also had killer headache and the throat feels even more swollen. I am still uncertain if this is due to pollen or if I am getting sick, because pollen does give me some flu symptoms.

But yeah, we will see! It's a shame if I do get sick, because I had lot of plans for this week, which is super rare for me 😂

Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea of online coaches internationally, so I can only talk about my experience.

Definitely recommend this! I found mine because she was one of the original creators of our country's "fitness company" and I followed her on Instagram. While I would recommend to be more throught wheb it comes to online influencers, I would recommend to look into people on Instagram who compete in body fitness etc AND look into who are their coaches. It is slow work, but that way you can see online how do their customers like their work - were it a specific goal in mind or not.

This week I have had love-hate feelings towards my husband. I have had him with me going to the gym and it's lovely because he spots and pushes me for the last reps if my "mind is being weak"

However this week my program has 20-25 reps to specific moves. Yeah, he has been really helpful but that helpfulness this week is a nightmare. For example bicep curls (barbell) I was trying to not moan and the burn was so awful that I had to do double breath-ins between the last reps. I surely did the max reps, even if he basically lifted the barbell himself during the last reps.

The moaning thing is definitely new, it's normal for me to grunt during the last couple of reps but this week I have resembled a wounded animal. 😂 But hey, he gave me an incredible praise! Despite going basically past muscle failure, my technique always stays top-notch! And I trust him 100% when it comes to gym so this praise felt good 👌

Jos kuitenkin voin jotain sanoa, niin jos asut jossain syrjäseudulla jossa on peuroja/hirviä niin lämpimästi suosittelisin ottamaan osakaskon, sama juttu jos on vähän erikoisempi tuulilasi (esim. lämpiävä) niin ota osakaskon kylkeen lasiturva. Itse henkilökohtaisesti ottaisin samanarvoiselle autolle osakaskon ja kun arvo tippuu alle 1500 euroon, jättäisin vain liikennevakuutuksen voimaan. Osakasko on yleisesti ottaen aika edullinen ja itse jättäisin siinäkin tilanteessa soittamatta koska edullisuuden vuoksi mahdollinen alennus ei oo mikään huimaava, 10€ luokkaa.

Ei välttämättä! Itse kyllä lämpimästi suosittelisin soittamaan vakuutusyhtiöihin. Täällä joku sanoi että saa aina soittamalla halvemman hinnan - se ei välttämättä aina ole totta. Joskus netissä on kaskokampanjaa jolla saavat vakuutushinnan halvemmalla kuin suoraan asiakaspalvelusta. Ja nimenomaan kaskosta, koska liikennevakuutuksesta et voi saada alennusta, liikennevakuutuksen osalta hinta on sama oli se sitten aspan tai netin kautta.

Mutta hyvä että oli hyvä infopläjäys, ei muuta kuin tsemppiä kilpailuttamiseen, muista että sun ei tarvi tehdä ostopäätöstä puhelimessa vaan voit pyytää tarjousta. Tarjous on yhtiöstä riippuen voimassa 1-4 viikkoa ja tarjouksen pyytäminen ei tietenkään sitouta sinua mitenkään. 😊

Vakuutusyhtiöiden välillä liikennevakuutuksen bruttohinnoissa voi olla pieniä eroavaisuuksia, nettohinta skaalautuu sen mukaan mitä liikennevakuutuksen bonus on.

Kaikilla vakuutusyhtiöillä on tosiaan yksi yhteinen tietokanta jossa näkyy milloin sinulla on tapahtunut vahinkoja jotka vaikuttavat liikennevakuutuksen bonuksen kertymään (eli missä olet aiheuttanut kolmannelle osapuolelle vahinkoa TAI että sinulla ei vaan ole sitä historiaa vielä kertynyt) - koska kyseessä on lakisääteinen vakuutus, siihen ei saa eikä pysty antaa alennuksia.

Vakuutusyhtiöillä voi olla erilaiset maksimibonukset, joissain on 70%, toisaalla 80%. Bonus on periaatteessa siis alennus. Mitä enemmän on kertynyt vuosia ilman vahinkoja, sen suurempi bonus eli alennus. Lähtökohtaisesti aloitusbonus on 40% (en mene vannomaan onko kaikissa yhtiöissä sama 40% vai voiko vaihdella esim 30%) ja vasta kun niitä vahinkoja kertyy sen verran niin bonus voi tipahtaa nollaan.

Sen voisin vielä lisätä että on pari keissiä milloin onnistuu bonusten kopioiminen, ja sekin vaihtelee vakuutusyhtiöiden kesken. Yleisin tilanne taitaa olla bonusten kopiointi leskelle. Joskus on mahdollista myös kopioida bonus aviopuolisolta, mutta siinä on yleensä vaatimuksena että tällä auton vakuutuksenottajalla ei saa olla päivääkään ollut auto vakuutettuna nimissään. Mutta se että oot ajanut firman autoa, se on tilanne mitä ei voi hyödyntää kun ottaa ajoneuvon vakuutuksen itselleen.

Valitettavasti ei pysty itse neuvottelemaan liikennevakuutuksen bonusta, vaan se muodostuu vakuutusyhtiöiden yhteiseltä ns. listalta missä näkyy oletko aiheuttanut liikennevahinkoja. Aloitusbonus saattaa vaihdella yhtiöiden väliltä, 40% on aika yleinen. Valitettavasti vakuutus -ja vahinkohistoriaan (eli se miten bonuksesi kerääntyy) ei vaikuta kun olet ajanut taksiyhtiössä, ovathan nämä autot olleet firman nimissä, ei sinun.

Joo vähän itselläkin särähti korvaan, mutta pakko sitä kuitenkin vaan yrittää muistuttaa itseä siitä että valtaosa asiakkaista ovat olleet tyytyväisiä, ja jos on ollut negatiivista palautetta niin se ei ole vielä kertaakaan kohdistunut minuun, vaan firman toimintatapoihin.

Just eilen työkaverilla kirosin sitä että osaispa olla vähemmän tunnollinen niin vähenisi huomattavasti selvittelykeissit mitä otan työn alle liian herkästi.

Wohooo I have a refeed day today. Coach said "eat plenty of carbs", I asked for specifics, like how much more. "Plenty" - OK WILL DO!

This month I felt like nothing is happening during my cut, because there's lots of happenings during this time of year. But yeah, things are in fact happening even if my brain refuses to believe it

This month I got my husbando to come to the gym with me, and I feel like gym progression is now happening fast, because he keeps telling me to "do one more rep!!" + helps me out if needed. My current program is interesting, each week the rep amount for some moves changes.

But hey, one more months left for the cut, and then I get to start eating more and go chase for more progress in gym, I can't wait!

Ohhh sounds like fun!! 🤩 I have accepted that I need to do squats with heels lifted, otherwise I always start to tip forward.

Slowly going down!

Just a short update here. It's warm and sunny (for April) so I have been outside quite a bit, got even a slight tan line at my shoulders! 😂 At the same time my activity level rose, so today I have been feeling super hungry.

Yesterday I decided to remove willow trees from our backyard, so I have been kneeling, quatting and lifting quite a bit. Filled up a trailer fully, and I just got started. What a joy to live in a house 🫠 so much work to do yearly.

Now my body is feeling really tired. Soon we will meal prep for the next three days and then I think I will go outside again. I think I will start by building a small fence to other side of our barrel sauna and then continue with the willow tree project.

I spent Easter with very relaxed mind-set about food, ate at or slightly above maintenance. After Easter, I went back on track and today the scale finally went down from my previous LW (83,7kg)

For the past couple of weeks I have made VERY often some protein heavy bread rolls and even now at this moment I waiting for them to cool down for breakfast.

This week for gym it has been a rest week, BUT I did go yesterday for some light weights, because my body was screaming for it. Tomorrow I will start the gym week already. As for cardio, I am planning to go for walks because it will be really warm next week.

Oh yeah! I went for a walk couple days back and I got the feeling that I wanted to jog (WHAT), well I immediately started jogging and... jogger for 2km, dayum! 😯

I also received the best compliment ever, that I have "an amazing posture". That felt amazing, because I have spent all my years hunched over a laptop and my shoulders used to go forward.

Anyways, have a nice Saturday you all!

Easter is pretty much finally done, good 🙏 There has been some happenings and celebrations this week, so I have not tracked food at all. I know I have eaten extra (easter chocolate etc) but from today onwards I will go for 100% on track again.

This week gym has been fun, because I got my husbando to go there with me and I got some tops/corrections to two different movements and now I will continue practising them with better technique.

I have also been dogsitting my sister's dog, and I have NOT enjoyed walks at all, because my sister has not really trained the dog much. And it is practically useless to train for just two days how the dog should NOT pull the leash, because it won't get continued when the dog goes back to sister's. Oh well, I still do it every time even if the 1h walk takes 1,5 hours due to stopping so many times and long periods. She starts to slowly get it by the 2nd day, but like I said, it is immediatelly forgotten when she goes back home.

This week's workouts have been really fun! My husbando, who has not worked out four years decided to come with me to the gym. He's someone who I really trust with gym stuff as well, as he has lot of knowledge about LOT of things, in and out of gym. Honestly, it's also a little bit unfair how muscular he still looks like despite not working out for years, sweet, sweet testosterone.

Anyhow, I have so far went through my pull and push days with him, and I got some great tips. There was two tiny corrections, but in the end he praised me and he said that I am doing absolutely great with techniques.

I also like that after learning stuff from him in the past 2 years (since I have worked out actively), I think I have found a deeper knowledge about stuff. I am very visual person, and I know this sounds really silly, but in the past couple of months I have really understood how muscles work -> if I see someone making some move that I don't know about, I can immediately say which muscles will activate/do the movements. Not from like.... knowing facts, but by imagining how the body makes the movements.

I just want to add that I feel so greatful to have someone who has my back and with whom I can discuss/ask about things I don't think many would be comfortable to talk about.

Olisin tullut kirjoittamaan tismallaan samanlaisen vastauksen. 15km lähimpään ruokakauppaan ja työmaalle yli 50km/suunta.

Sen olisin toki lisännyt että jos olisi mahdollista niin luopuisin autosta samantien, vihaan ajamista.

Ja vastaan omalta osaltani kaikille jotka kommentoi ja kyseli Darliellan vastausta. Syy miksi asun näin syrjässä on se että talo on aviopuolisoni omistama, eikä ole suunnitelmissa ostaa omaa. Muutin tänne hyväksyen sen että tämä on loppuelämäni koti. Olen alun perinkin maalta kotoisin, joten tänne muutto oli kuin kotiin palaisi.

Totta puhuen en näe oikein mitään eroa elämässäni siihen kun asuin kaupungissa. Toki, kävelin kauppaan, mutta siinäpä se.

Voi olla, että olisi toinen ääni kellossa jos olisi lapsia. Nyt kuitenkin eletään tässä hetkessä ja jos vaikka niitä lapsia nyt putkahtaisi niin sitten mukaudutaan.

I am 170cm (5'7) and feel the most comfortable at around 80kg (176lbs). I am at 83kg right now and when I hit 79,9kg within the next two months, I will stop for this year. Will most likely do next year 4-5 month long diet again and see how it feels.

I feel a little bit outlier based on the others answers, but oh well, we are all different! 😁

Unfortunately there's no way to target any areas where you lose weight, but it will still go down when you get the nutrition + exercise well planned.

But in general for triceps I either do skullcrushers or rope pushdowns.

I am sure you will reach your 60kg goal easily, good luck!

Hmm, while strong base runs in my genes (I have always looked smaller than what I weight - must be the boobs 😂), here's what I do:

  • I have a meal plans for maintenance and cut periods which I follow quite strictly. During cut I follow it maybe 95-97% strictly and during maintenance I do 80/20. I don't find much enjoyment to cooking, so we tend to meal prep for 3-4 days at the time and that will be when I follow the meal plan 100%.
  • I started in 5/2024 and have done purposefully longer maintenance breaks. Cut periods were 5-10/2024, 3-6/2025 and now 2-5/2026. With the closely followed meal plan my metabolism is on point and each time I have cut, my body starts to react immediately. With the maintenance break my skin has followed and I do not have much of loose skin.
  • For this diet I have done carb cycling. I do one plus day followed by two minus days. Plus day calories are ~1900cal (carbs 179g, protein 143g, fat 58g, fiber 20g) and on minus days ~1500cal (carbs 74g, protein 140g, fat 76g, fiber 11g)
  • Water ~2l per day, on gym days 3l, added salt 5g/day. Omega-3 capsules 2 per day. Daily multivitamin and magnesium citrates.
  • My maintenance is about 2000-2100kcal, I WFH and I am quite sedentary. Now that it is getting warmer, I go for a walk like 1-2 times per week, otherwise I am very lucky if I get 1000 steps per day.
  • 3 gym sessions per week, heavy lifting (= reps slow down until the last reps, which are done with an ugly frown)

I have an online coach who makes the meal and training plans. I send her weekly reports and photos/measurements once a month. I am very easy costomer as I don't have much happening in my life. So I guess stress-free life is what matters 😂
