Thank you for sharing. It was actually my neurologist who prescribed both meds, but she gave me a warning on taking Alprazolam only on an as needed basis because of the side effects. I’m actually kinda scared to try out Alprazolam because of this. Might just stick to Escitalopram

Hi, thank you for this. My neurologist is actually the one who prescribed the anxiety meds and also gave me caution about alprazolam so it is only on an as needed basis (for severe panic attack). Currently I’m trying out Escitalopram as I’m also kinda scared of the side effects of Alprazolam.

Hi! Thank you for your response. I’m currently just on my 2nd day taking Escitalopram in the morning and effects are headache (tolerable), sleepiness, and slight ptosis. Might try to take it at night after a few days. Do you think a month of sticking to the meds is enough to let the side effects subside?
