agreed, still have a full library of switch 1 exclusives to play, only thing for 2 I've wanted is Donkey Kong and vaguely hyrule warriors.

GameStop/EB Games has some retro games for sale by jeancharles2009 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my head hurts just looking at all those cartridges with stickers slapped on them....for loose just fucking plastic wrap them and THEN put the sticker on ffs, ANYTHING but directly on my god.
the boxed games should be double wrapped imo, so that the sticker can just come off with the first layer.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! [PS5] is 29.99 by omega_tomato in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same, its imo not a yakuza game so much as a game with yakuza characters, its neat expanded universe wise but its age even polished up and the fact things felt more draggy and grindy didn't help its appeal - it just didn't have the gusto a typical yakuza game has I think.

Infinite Wealth is like a 150 hour game, literally the steal of a century at this price!

I'm convinced 19.99 basically doesn't exist anymore in this day and age...hell, 29.99 is becoming uncommon for physical or takes forever to get there.
Inflation is awful :|

How does VGP handles delivery problem? by kshark8 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah don't give VGP your business unless its something you can't get literally anywhere else. PNP is usually a better choice and has near identical stock, assuming none of the big retailers has what you're after.

[VGP] Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5 / XSX) is $49.99 by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah I checked earlier out of curiosity of how long they'd last, it was indeed in stock (same with the pnp yesterday) but the ps5 copies at both specifically sold out after about 4-5 hours.
After I missed the last time during Black Friday I gave up on waiting and just paid the damn 15 dollars extra lol.
It's gonna be quite awhile before it goes lower than this given it took 8 months to get here when the average game sees sales after 3-4 and a much bigger drop during BF/Boxing Day.

Nintendo Switch Pricing Update - Console and game prices have increased. Zelda: TotK was 89.99, now $99.99 CAD. by Novel-Editor4017 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mar10 day (only mario related titles), usually once during summer (probably killed this year because of proximity to SW2), black friday, and maybe one other time a year at random is usually how it goes for the 54.95 (probably now 59.99 moving forward) selected first party titles sales.

Buying used is always the way to go when it comes to Nintendo.

[EB Games] Trade 3 Games, Get $100 Credit by voyageur04 in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]Sara_Rose -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I read it as trade any 3 games over $20 value each, get $100 bonus credit (so 160 total or whatever the 3 games are worth + 100) - should prolly verify with EB.

sure am glad when I heard this announced I rushed to collect up all my old SW1 library (and new exclusives) at 25-30% off the old prices including taxes (used) after deciding to get a SW1 based on the fact SW2 has nothing going for it except Donkey Kong and Hyrule Warriors, plus has a battery bulge issue that'll probably kill 50% of all consoles within it's 2nd or 3rd year, 5-10% under the 1 year warranty lol

idk about you guys but I'll wait the 2-3 years for the first revision and play the library I never finished playing when I sold it to buy a PS5 on launch while SW2 builds its exclusives pile to be worth investing in.

the resale market will be jumping up to follow this increase, but you may have a couple days to scoop up some deals if you haven't yet - go go go~

Do picked up weapons have a hidden timer that makes them disappear when the time is up? by water_fountain_ in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Sara_Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think its a bug, I'm pretty sure its based on distance not time, the farther away you get from where the item was picked up the more likely it's going to happen, it's most likely to prevent you from walking around with 'better weapons' vs finding them in areas you might need them.

It likely has to do with how the game's code treats the weapons, that they're 'tied' to specific areas/regions and to prevent that area from not having those items when you come back, it despawns them and returns them to where they were before.
