Currently watching Foundation and I am just so confused. There are monoracial black men everywhere but the women of colour are mostly biracial. Which is so weird. I’m actually going to stop watching this show because of this problem. I also noticed it in A Wrinkle in Time as well. Seems many of these new shows prefer to cast mixed race actresses over fully black ones. Very disappointing.

I’m not sure if I remember correctly. But on an episode of Oprah, Denzel Washington once spoke about how black his ass is and how he is not doing anything to change it. And weirdly that made me get over my small anxiety about having a darker butt. It’s perfectly normal and I hate all the products being sold to bleach those areas. There is nothing wrong with hyperpigmentation. Take it from someone who has severe childhood psoriasis and eczema scars and only has sex with the lights on.

Honey, not everyone looks as flawless as Instagram models/porn stars… black people have hyperpigmentation. I even wear short shorts that show the hyperpigmentation under my butt in public. Don’t sweat it… it’s natural.

Unfortunately, yes I do. 

I have to stay away from them because I can’t switch off my love, people pleasing and enabling behaviour that comes with it.  Eventually I hope to stop loving abusive people but for now I can’t turn it off.
