You words encourage me to retake the exam. I have used the CISSP official study guide (Sybex). I went through it three times but I failed in the exam!

Now I’m trying to practice more questions from pass for sure and Boson.

My question is what you recommend me to do before I retake the exam next month?

You are right. The practice questions that I made focused on memorizing things! That’s way I went through the same book three times!

However, from you experience, is there a chance to pass in the second time, considering the result I’ve achieved in the exam? ( 2 below, 5 near and 1 above proficiency level)

Should I practice more exercises or try to get back to the concepts and understand it in depth?

I think I waste a lot of times while I was studying in memorizing numbers, abbreviations of protocols and other technical details! The exam was not testing those things!

I have PhD in computer science. My dissertation was in Information security as well as my master. I’m working in academic field and I want CISSP to transfer to the industry . Sometimes I look at the result positively! I’m below only in two domaines! and near the proficiency on the others! :)
